In this case with Frederik it is quite clearly alright to punish him like how his father did, since he's done some really bad stuff. When I used to do some bad stuff my parents punished me by taking away my internet for two weeks, I thought about what I had done during this time and realized, that was pretty messed up, and also, doing bad things gives you horrific punishments (Yeah I was pretty highly spoiled) and so I stopped doing those things! I think the main difference is that me and Frederick were and are both geniuenly spoiled, and thus the punishment is more effective and less damaging mentally, and we clearly aren't punished as much. You meanwhile don't seem spoiled to me, and you were routinely punished in a way that was clearly unfair, and thus it had a highly detrimental and undesirable outcome

I think Mr. Anderson actually slapped him because he still felt sad after Mike visited and Frederick kept saying he doesn’t care about his father
