They were playing this song in the hospital room when my mom was passing away from lung cancer 5 years ago today. 😢 she is where she strived to be her whole adult life.

The first time I heard this song my dad (not biological) but my dad just the same, challenged me to play Christian radio for just one week. This was the first song I heard and oh buddy did it change my life. I went from an ex-junkie to an all in Christian that very day. I had to pull off the side of the road as I poured out my heart to God. I went home and told my parents what happened on the way home. Dad hugged me so tight telling me in my ear that he knew God was going to flip my script the minute I started listening to Christian music and oh boy I had to hang on tight because it's been a wild ride of passionate love from God. I've since lost both my Mom and Dad to cancer but I knew in my heart I would see them again one day. I'm now going through my won health challenges but I know God has a plan. I may not understand it right now but I will one day!

This movie depicts my life with my father. My father was about 70 and i had the honor to lead my father into salvation with Jesus on his death bed. He was to die that night but God had greater plans. His life was extended 1.5 yrs with stage 4 prostate cancer. I got to disciple him and watch him grow. I witnessed his transformation. I received the father i always prayed for. God did supernatural healing in my heart. My time with him that last 1.5 years was grueling at times yet all so remarkable. Best gift ever! Priceless.❤

That’s just an amazing thing. Thank you for sharing this experience. Same with my Mom,,,we had an extra year,,,, a diagnosis of 6 months,, but we had a whole year. A beautiful year. 😢

To God be the Glory 🙏🏼, This song was telling my story about my Dad. My Dad passed away due to lung cancer, I've got to know my Dad as the Father more on his sickbed. I can only imagine how great my life would have been. I'm Grateful to God for giving me My Dad, through it all I've learnt so much life lessons And know he only wanted the best for us. I cry for wasted years... I miss my Dad so much. Daddy I love you ❣️. I can only imagine

At 88 my mum lives mainly with me. The oldest of two separate families. Each winter is different. But also with us is currently a 25 year old dog. And a near fourty year old son. Plus an elderly gentle man. Often now the son is away with work. Support for things comes in many different ways. Like fitting the electricity bill in credit. Why? Two reasons... 1) so that the heaters are run during the winter. Thus the air is drier. And the washing is done at home. But not by hand. As mum was apt at doing but OT carrying to a clothes line then. Now I hang it out and bring it in. For independance, a line in the car port was put. There are things that people cannot take away. The pain of the losses in life once they occur. Last year it was the dogs sibling brother at nearly 24 yearsold. Human years old. However there are many ways through people God plan provides support. A friend needed a car as his was damaged badly. He's a ta,eaways delivery person. Yet he's gifted at mechanics. None else was able Ti O work on the car for free. He did and the vehicle is fixed. It's his other cars turn now. Last year it took three days to get a vet. Then hours to find a car available. A bus trip back from the vets took about 4 hours one way. Only to find a nether friend who the next day was able to come with me to pick up the dog and return it home. While others dug the hole. Life is a community event. As such the community grieved. They also remembered and shared the early life of the two puppies all those years ago. The antics I never knew about....mmm That's a dog. How deep that hurt went was impossible to know before hand. But there were other events before hand. Everyone and person involved built a coping mechanism, God is absolutely Ugly terrific Just as you think you are at a wits end there is His hand guiding and supporting you. Especially once the self doubt and blame has gone. I Can Only Imagine as yet what this what this winter season will bring but He already knows. And I can Only Imagine the support with out pour I ngs of love and hugs once again supportive Lyn given. Praise the Lord 👐🙏 I really love this song, but I really don't know story behind this, after I watch this film I come to know that this songs reflected me as well. God turned my father from monster to the father who loves God, and who always love prayer. He was diagnosed with cancer and he passed away in 2021 May 11, he is now with the Lord. How Amazing our God Lord Jesus Christ is. I can only imagine!! ❤

This movie reminds me of my Brother & my relationship growing up there was a 21yr age difference he was an alcoholic an took everything out on me when he was home, he wasn't allowed to be left alone with me in case he might be drinking never knew when he go off, I was always trying to get him to forgive me & love me but he wouldn't even come to see our Mother when she was dying, he got sober & stay for up to his death, he wouldn't believe I was sick with a brain tumor but crazy my Mom, Brother & I had one in the same family, he passed away with a rear form of Leukemia just a year ago even if he was so much older he was still my brother.. I miss him and love him God's got him now...but I can not imagine what he said or saw when he saw hevean...

I can feel your pain one day you'll see him again my son fell 25 ft. He told me he believed in something but didn't know what it was until he fell was near death with broken bones head trauma saw he said the father he told me what he looked like was in the garden with God he said he only smiled at him he told me how beauitful flowers were he now goes too church believes he returned him back iam sure you'll see your son again in heaven God bless

I am kinda glad it went this way because I relate to the band even more now and with Bart... My parents were alcoholics and my mom wildly abusive... This story really touched me. While it was listed as Christian story, I believe it is a story of faith and God's love. His love has been given to people of many faiths throughout our world. Fantastic movie, actors were perfect, the mood, tone, musicality were all nuanced in such an excellent presentation of Bart's real life. I felt so much angst, like my heart was being torn apart, and in the end I felt God's presence in my life, and I know what the answer is. I have a very strong feeling that when I meet Him, I will be silent, my head bent down in reverence, and if I am able, I will lay prostrate before Him who created me, because that is the least I can do to show Him that I love Him. To bow before Our King.

I am so sorry. I want you to know that God has already forgiven you. He knows exactly how you feel and I know he wants you to forgive yourself too. God knows ever part of you, good and bad, and still loves you. He loves YOU so much that Jesus DIED for you. He is perfect but took your place and suffered your punishment for your sin. He did this so you can be free. Free of shame, hate, and the consequences of your sin. He did not stay dead, he came back to life totally defeating death. Jesus did this so you now have a choice to accept that he took on your punishment. God loves you so much and wants to be with you right now. He sees that you are severely handicapped and that you hate this life and he wants to carry that with you. He knows exactly what you are feeling. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life-John 3:16. If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved-Romans 10:9. I do not know who you are but I love you. I know my God loves you way more than anyone has or can. It's ok about the past, forgive yourself. There is nothing you can change about it and God knows it. HE LOVES YOU.

@@ljlou5746 Yes, I have asked Jesus into my heart and to take charge of my soul. I believe that he is with me. My daily struggles are still very real, sometimes I just don't have the strength to carry on. I have worked hard all my life, never asking anyone for anything. Now when I should be enjoying my so called golden years, I find that God has allowed someone to take everything from me. Placing me in a position where I have become a simple begger. I am blessed with a roof over my head, a dry place to sleep. A friend gives me 25 a week and I get scraps from a butcher, that I sort through and share with my dog. I believe in my savior, I believe that he may have given up on me. I'm not asking for sympathy, just prayers asking our Lord not to give up on me. Thank you for your reply. God bless you.

I love this movie so much. It helped me to share that story about Bart Millard and his dad Arthur and how he wrote the song I Can Only Imagine for his dad with my big adopted sister Alia when her friend died at age 28 back in September after I left Guido's to finish college. Sis actually watched the movie the day of my graduation party and she loved the true story about Bart Millard and his complicated relationship with his abusive dad Arthur.

Amazing , Awesome , Inspirational movie! and Love the song too. Both the song and movie brings tears to my eyes of happiness ! I am so grateful to God for so many things , for my health, and most importantly someone I love most in my heart and soul Sammy, who is in Brazil far away, at the moment . I'm grateful for many health scares, as well. I enjoyed the movie, Dennis Quaid , the man who played Bart and the cast was awesome . It was great when Bart went home to face his Dad and forgive him, and they reunited as father and a son and how peaceful, now Bart is and calmer now showing his Dad, some answers to his questions is also inspirational and love the history of how Mercy Me started, as well, Absolutely Amazing!

I aways wonder why my dad had three kids because send most days and years being without him and I wish that my dad was more around so this movie was very emotional to watch. Glory Hallelujah Servant King Yeshua for Mercy Me. For God inspired lyrics and music. I heard back in the early 2000's this very song. A colleague presented it at a school assembly. I cried my eyes out. Little did I know what impact it would have on me. I grew up in a home of verbal, psychological abuse from my father repeatedly threatening to kill me. The scripture Fathers do not exacerbate your children, fell on deaf ears. My mother was an enabler. My father went on to abuse my daughter too. I attract the wrong men. I am single saved and never forgotten or forsaken by Servant King Yeshua whom I serve. Living out my late grandmother's legacy. Today I am 51. I am disabled due to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I can't wait to go Home to Yeshua. To receive my heavenly body. What a touching movie. My father has recently been diagnosed and I don't know if he comprehends God or Jesus. There are only 2 places in heaven or in hell. So at the moment I can only imagine. Blessings Sue from South Africa

-My Mother-She wasn't that way at all times,,but when her hate & rage blew up,,so did everything around her..The roller-coaster ride from I had to make peace with her through Jesus after she passed..I completely forgave her,, and I can say I love her💜
