The reason she sounds like that is because she's a pandora/gugak singer, so her voice is more traditional than you think. She's amazing though!

You might have been confused bcoz of their reactions. This show is about choosing who is a skilled singer and who is tone-deaf among 7 or more mysterious (that's how they make them) individuals based on their appearance. You should be picking the tone-deafs to win. The contestants were wrong so they're disappointed.
