Funny how people notice only how others speak English based on what they think English should be spoken. Grammar and diction aside, English is spoken differently depending on where one is from. Even in the UK, where English is the native tongue, it is spoken in different accents. The British, Irishmen, Welsh and Scots for example speak English with their local accents because of their dialects. In the US, American English from the east coast to the west coast is spoken in different accents. Texans for example, speak in 2 different accents if you notice. I live in the Pacific Northwest where people speak with hardly any regional accent so you don't notice any. Canadians, Australians, and those from the different English colonies in Africa speak English too, but in different accents. Everyone knows that Europeans speak their English with their strong native accents and they're acceptable because they have their own languages and dialects too. So why is there too much bashing on East Asians speaking English as a second language? Why can't a Korean speak and sing with an accent when he still speaks his native tongue? And if he learned to speak English the LA way then what's wrong with that? That's why here in the US, it is an act of discrimination to laugh at somebody's way of speaking English. We are a land of mixed races of course. Laugh at or critize somebody's English? You, very easily, can get fired from your job! Btw, Bob Dylan, an American folk artiste, sings in English and in his own distinct style but no one here in the US is complaining. 😜
