15:06 Studio DEEN really cooked here. The Directing, Storyboards and even the Animation is so top notch. I really thought this would be just be your average seasonal romance production. They really put in effort into the first episode. I hope they can keep that up, not to mention the OST in this episode was so mesmerizing, and the piano play was so soothing that i can listen to it everytime. ❤❤

As a novel reader, I see this as an absolute W. Deen absolutely nailed the Gimai atmosphere. Even the scenes are all well drawn. But let me say something, every scene has a deep meaning like the scene where Yuta came home and saw a light still on or even the scene where Yuta filled up the hot water in the bathtub again after he used it are all PEAK.

This Anime could also be better than Domestic Girlfriend. 🗿

I really enjoyed the books. This is not a romantic comedy or a fan service service anime. It is a drama and she wants to be independent that is why she seems cold and guarded.

19:15 iirc mc actually talked about this in the LN, saying, "what? Are you expecting her to accidentally go in the bathroom while I'm here? Why would that happen? She knows I'm in here." or something along those lines. This series would constantly be breaking the 4th wall, mocking the usual trope of incest series which for me is really funny and fascinating at the same time

I read the manga for this anime and it's a nice slow-paced story with realistic characters and wholesome moments. This anime is definitely gonna be underrated.

I've lived in a somewhat run-down, lower-middle-class family home in rural Japan, and even we had that kind of ofuro setup. It doesn't mean that the family is rich. The indication that the family is well off is that they had a spare room they weren't using to be the stepsister's bedroom. Oh, and I think the change of temperature and such after the guy's bath implied that he changed out his bathwater for new bathwater before she entered the bath. The lights scene was her trying to turn off the apartment lights before going to bed. The Japanese always do this. They have a bank of switches that aren't labeled, and all the switches are left-right rather than up-down, so you don't know what is off and what is on, or what switch goes to what light. I've had battles with light-switch banks in Japanese hotels where I turned on and off all the possible combinations of lights, finally arriving at a dark room and not knowing how I did it.

Love the light novel of this show, it's mature and the characters are realistic in a way. Not for people who don't like slow shows but if you stick around, it's atmosphere and character development is great.

Guys say what you want about the title, but this Anime is gonna be lowkey a hidden gem for this season, and could be a tearjerker that is a much better version than The Stepmom's Daugther Is My Ex, but this anime will just get judged by clueless people who just hates incest without even knowing the whole context. 🗿

Saki is such a great character. She is basically portraying a realistic girl for example typical girls would slap a boy when their undies, or something embarassing was touched by them, but Saki didn't do any of those trope, and just laugh it off since it was just an accident is so good.

I'm surprised nobody in the comments have this warning but here's a heads up, I almost freaked out when I was watching episode 3. Maybe it's just me overreacting but something I didn't expect totally happened and I still can't get over it now.

First episode seem really decent and interesting...many people saying this is not like other previous animes...and that is why i check ep 1 out...and it really hook me up prefty much
