I have used this way back in the 1970’s. Believe me it works. I heated my shop when it was freezing out side. This is as old as old can get. But mine was on a much larger scale. Thank you sir for this video, very good.

Nice.I had made mine with the same concept, except that it has an oil tank with a pipe connected to the lower portion of the chamber as supply line, and without the sprocket thing. Thanks for sharing, Bro.

My grandfather built a forge on waste iil, he was good with metal working. The only difference was the burner , double walled, interior one pierced for air intake, then he had a line for the oil to feed it continuously. He was tempering stuff with it, chisels and axles, as nuch i can remember.

Yep I’ve seen waste oil burner heating a shop barn . My girlfriend’s dad built it this was 25 years ago I saw it working. He had an old copper line with a T-valve that was an automatic drip and man was that thing hot whew . Nice build

Well, the only issue I see is the refill. You cannot safely refill it. I'd connect a short piece of 1/4" pipe through the "bowl" to add oil. Connect the other end of that 1/4" pipe to a piece of copper piping to get away from the heat. Mount a 1/4" ball valve to it and connect it to a vessel that contains the oil. You can make a loop with the copper pipe to establish a "water lock" if you wish. It will drain out to the loop when you shut off the valve and keep it from dripping when you shut it down. 💡

What i would do is “Its oil just take the top off and dump it in it wont flash”
@ritakisil16694 ай бұрын
Maybe a little container with a spout will do...like the container for oil, much like a small teapot with long spout. Just thinking, and I really find this idea unteresting. I've got several litres of used oil that i don't want to pour down the sink.
@wazirazam25915 ай бұрын
Appreciate your efforts. But bro, I have some questions: 1). Can I put one ltr oil instead of 100ml ? 2). Why did you use the small frywheel in the middle having teeth. Instead, can I use only one big plate without teeth with a small hole in its centre ? 3). Does it have any oily smell in the kitchen? 4). You have connected/welded two pipes of different size (1 small 1 large) together at two places i.e one with the blower and one at the bottom of the Chamber before elbow. Is it necessary to get blue flame? 5). Instead a blower, can I use dc fan of 12 volts? Thanks in anticipation.
@creativeideas50415 ай бұрын
Hi, it can be 1 ltr but if the chamber is deep, like what I did, up to 100 to 150 ml is the amount that can be put You can used any desire frywheel The principal of these oil stove is better to get the blue flame , no worries about the smell when it comes blue flame, 12v Snail blower is best the for these method👌

😢 Sadly, back in the 1940's-1960's a lot of people in Florida, USA had oil burning heaters. They worked great. Then the cost of electricity went down, so people got rid of them. It would be nice to have when grid goes down. No electricity needed.
@Subgunman2 ай бұрын
Except if you need a good source of air to help burn the oil otherwise you will soot up the burner and release soot particles into the air. Smal 12 volt fans running off of a car battery will suffice at providing the air needed to produce a good, clean hot burn.

One wonders what constitutes waste oil and what hazardous fumes you might be breathing if you burn waste oil in an enclosed space. Perhaps it would be a safety issue for the health of yourself and your family. If you can investigate please update us on the results. Waste oil from a vehicle might not be that bad, I don't know, but waste oil from an industrial application could contain any number of truly hazardous chemicals that could cause lifelong health problems.
