Watching this while sitting in my 2022 f450 platinum “work truck” this thing almost put me out of business due to being at ford for couple months waiting on DPF but I still love it!

The engine brake on my Ram 5500 works super good!!

I find that once you get your dream car/truck, it's easier to move down because the honeymoon is over, and the thrill diminishes. I've been there, now my preference is basically "work truck" trim with just a few tiny comforts like painted/chrome bumpers and a bigger backup screen, maybe heated seats for those cold Canadian winters of ours. Far less stress and worry about damage and the financial ball around the neck too. To be honest I'd take that Ram dually over the F450 you're selling. It's smaller too and that's something I really like in a truck.

You have to do what you think is best for the business and pocketbook. While you may regret it somewhat later in life you can get another down the road. Good luck.

You've gotta do things that make the most business sense, myself personally I would get right out of using light duty vehicles for hauling heavy loads. Start branching into a medium duty truck like a 33,000 gvw 5 ton. I always thought the F450 was black the camera sure doesn't pickup the color blue that well lol.

it hurts selling your baby. i had a 2015.5 denali hd 3500 worked my ass for that truck then i did a career change in 2017. sold it for a 2017 f250 reg cab gasser. my concern was constant start stopping with the emissions since i own a lawn and landscape business. probably the best business move i made since diesel repairs cost a small fortune

Trade for the new 24 F450… 2023 made improvements several ways, engine brake greatly improved.

It’s the difference between what you want, and what you need. I got the car I wanted when I was younger, and drove it like it was meant to be driven, for 12 years. Then I had a succession of cars I needed. Then I got a car I wanted again. Big mistake, and I knew it from day one. Apart from impractical, it was never going to stretch its legs, because my life had changed. Amazing car, but a flat relationship. Well, I’m back to the car I need, and happily, it’s also the car I want (for my current situation). Ok, there will always be cars I want, but our lives and needs change, and we accept and understand, but our hearts need some convincing.

if you're thinking you are going to regret it, then don't sell it. or at least wait until you won't regret it. That truck is a work horse and will never leave you feeling like you don't have enough truck for a heavy duty job/towing situation.

It’s a nice truck that 450 but when it’s a work truck the truck bed can be a pain. Get a nice cab chassis model with a working bed that’s the way to go. My 2 cents

Try to stay away from the dodge trucks they're having wiring problems and are diesels fuel problems, one of the guy I know has 3 wiring harness on lights so far.

I sold my 22 450 KR my 22’ F350 Tremor KR and my 21’ F350 Tremor Platinum.. not because they are bad trucks just because guys are giving ridiculous money for the Fords right now. My Rams and my GMC will do me just fine.

Gotta free up some capital. Tough times are coming. When sh#t hits the fan here in a yr or two, you'll be glad you dont have that payment. End of the day, Function > Form. Thats why I sold my 2020 F-350 during covid and bought semi's and a larger 35ton float. For the price of my f-350 I now have two semi trucks and a 53ft hydraulic float.

We all make mistakes… but stick with the basics. Just say you can’t afford the payments instead of blaming ford is not your cup ‘0 tea .

I’ll warn you now, a Cummins C&C won’t compare to your F450. Lower power output, & 6 speed. Best gasser is a Tundra.. I miss it
