Haechan was a star in every single song. Ik people talk a lot about him already, but nobody talks about how his voice fits these genres best!!!! Like yeah he can sing in ballads and cute pop and kill it, but darker concepts are so refreshing to hear with a vocal tone like he has? Seriously gives everything an edge that makes me shiver everytime it's his time on the track. We need a sexy concept holo soon pls SM.

This was actually when the graduation system was still in place so it wasn’t just that Mark was gone, but that Haechan, Jeno, Renjun, and Jaemin were all expecting to leave too after this album. It was a really hard time for all of them since the group was essentially splitting up. Haechan has 127 but the other members had no idea what was going to happen to them afterwards so they were really emotional during their first concert that year as that was supposed to be their last time promoting as Dream together (before SM woke up and got rid of the graduations system).

45:00 "why they saying this like they're going bye bye" CUZ THEY LITERALLY WERE.😭😭😭 it was an indescribable pain. looking back now it really was tough thinking how dream was abt to be duo unit of just chenji and that 00' was leaving. Thats why at the end of Best Friend when chenle was like its getting boring, come out now, talking to jisung since the 00' liners left, then jisungs come in and say I know you haven't left yet come out from now IT WAS SO PAINFUL TEARING UP

My favorite off this album is "Bye My First," too! It's tied to "My First and Last" along with another song from the Reload Album titled "Love Again" which I think you will also love very much! It's sort of a first love trilogy. The lyrics of each songs references to the song/s before them. It's great storytelling.

Officially my favorite comebacks of all in the history of kpop lol. The album is perfect. The title track is perfect. The whole era was perfect. I know boom wasn't everyone's cup of tea and there was some backlash because of the styling and Chenle's braids, but I couldn't even pay attention to the visual aspects of it because I fell in love with the song and the meaning. The whole comeback is about them growing up and looking back. It's like a letter to their younger selves and it's so beautiful. As much as Mark was missing, they proved that even without him (their original leader and guide, which Jeno then took as his role) they're such a strong group. I remember seeing them perform the song with him for the first time and he fit in so easily I barely realized. It takes a lot to form such a strong bond, but if anyone nct dream truly has it. No matter what they decide to do in the future they'll do it right, because they listen and learn from each other.

Yeah, it was a painful time in some ways but I do think they grew through the adversity and reaching to grow. Growing up is always hard and some things need to be left behind, but it is also so good to see them take that next step

This album was when I really started to gain even more appreciation for Jisung! He's an incredible dancer (my fave of the Neos actually) but I feel like sometimes that leads to his voice being overshadowed. He has one of the most beautiful tones, and when they let him show what he can do maaaaaaan. He shines! I was really happy when he dropped his solo cover this year🥺

Actually Bye, my first is indeed related to My first and last. In their "love trilogy". My first and last is the first song about falling in love. The second one, bye my first is the bittersweet ending to the first love, and in Reload we have "Love again" which is the last song about trying to fall in love once more

Boom is my favorite dream album...every song is a masterpiece...my second favorite is the reload album... These two were the the best times for dream.. Every member shined and got enugh lines to showcase their talent... We got to hear more of Nomin's rap especially jeno... His rap really surprised me and jisung was amazing as well and it was around that time when his voice became more mature and it was the best addition to dreams sound... Lele and renjun got more lines and haechan shined even brighter... He even got to rap and show more of his talent.... I just love these two eras so much

When the mini album came out in 2019, i managed to convert my close friends into this nct cult LOL and we used to go to karaoke and sing Best Friend and just play the mini album on the background whenever we hung out together or working on our thesis. I swear, the songs on this album are all good and the dance is unquestionable, especially the "stronger" movements of their hips are really crazy haha. For the song "Bye my First", Jisung's lyrics at the beginning were made by him, because he has never been in love, so to think about the lyrics he watched a drama/film with his mother and finally thought of the lyrics. I heard "dream run" for the first time from their concert video and really enjoyed watching it because they made some improvisations during the concert and made this song even more beautiful. Lastly, I really like your reaction and I'm saving up so I can watch content on your Patreon
