I CAN'T GATEKEEP THIS LATTAFA FRAGRANCE!! ( one of these middle eastern perfumes is a 10/10... )

I like the meaning of perfumes names in Arabic , Teriaq= Antidote , ajayeb Dubai = wonders of Dubai . lattafa = kindness and softness. and thx to review these . middle eastern perfumes is full of gems , but well hidden . need some search and many clone of the actual clone. if that makes sense

I’ve sampled Teriaq and have a full bottle on the way. Re: comparisons to La Belle, Teriaq is much less fruity with no pear. Ajayeb Dubai Portrait is a winner - yes the Oud is worth mentioning and I actually like it in this one. But if you hate Oud you might want to sample. Gorgeous scent bubble. I do have a 5ml sample of SHL Mango Kiss and frankly I think this is better. Ajayeb Dubai (in the black bottle) is stellar as well - pineapple, coffee, Oud and butterscotch. Intoxicating: wore it yesterday and it’s delicious. Thank you for featuring these Hayley 🙌🏻 I think it’s interesting - Western fragrance houses dupe each other too, quite often in fact, and nobody blinks an eye….

Yes, absolutely no pear. I don’t get how others perceive it as a straight up dupe but I guess we all smell different things. Also, absolutely agree on Ajeyeb, the Oud is prominent. It’s not a straight up fruity mango, it’s complex and likely won’t be for everyone

I love the scent profile of Chanel Chance, I also found I love Vince Camuto Fiore.....hummm....wait a minute, did they dupe? I think they did. And so did Burberry 'Weekend' Three western fragrances 'doing' each other. WELL I NEVER! Well, actually I did, I own all three.

I listened to so many reviewers but you are the only one who described it 100% perfectly and so close to what Teriaq is to me as well. That celery is truly poping up on my skin as well.

Celery and Rhubarb are almost the exact same thing. One is green, one is red. Perhaps it has Rhubarb in it?

I first sprayed Teriaq about a month ago, and at first sprays I would definitely agree with you. The bitterness is very strong and gives celery. I didn’t like it at all but I let it macerate for a month, and now the pink peppercorn and caramel really come out strong. I barely smell the leather and the celery is gone. Definitely more sugary, and sweeter. I reach for this one a lot now.

I wore it this morning and I noticed something similar, the green touch has drastically reduced and I got more sweetness 🥰

I have Teriaq and enjoy it. I don't know if it has 😮mass appeal because I can definitely see the leather and green hints in the fragrance turning others off. I like that it's a bit unexpected and non-linear like many fragrances at this price point.

New subscriber here. I mentioned the celery note in Teriaq in my Fragrantica review. I do get that but I am hoping as this does macerate I will like it more. I agree the bottle is very nice. Thank you for the reviews.

Super curious on what you will think. I adore Ajeyeb but I am a huge fan of Mango Kiss too so makes sense. Teriaq continues to intrigued me, it does something interesting on my skin. I can’t tell if the celery vibe I am getting in the background is a good thing or not 😂

Thank you Hayley, I have Dubai Portrait, just received it a few days ago, with all these middle eastern fragrances I empty the straw as soon as I get it and usually sit them on a shelf for a while before going back to wear them on skin I agree that it is a beautiful fragrance. Have never smelled Mongo Flesh so not sure about the comparison:)

Ajayeb Dubai is jarring when you first spray it. I suppose it was because it needed some oxygen in the bottle and some time. After a few weeks of maceration this fragrance has become one of my favorites. I agree, it is not a blind buy. Most Mango scents are very juvenile to my nose, but NOT this one. It smells like a rich lady with Gold earrings......wearing panties with cartoon figures under her designer wardrobe (yes weird, I admit it) the 'weirdness' is what I love about this scent. LOL.

I just received my bottle of Ajayeb Portrait yesterday which I blind bought. At first spray I was a bit worried because I got a prominent green note which I am not a fan of but as it settled I was impressed how this scent developed into a beautiful creamy mango with a hint of greeness, like the skin of a mango. I kept getting a beautiful scent bubble about 30 minutes later which my husband commented on saying it smelled really nice. My worries turned to love ❤. I have a few ME scents and they always get better with time so I'm sure this will get even better. I'm excited to wear this out. Thanks for your review! Best wishes!

Yes, it certainly isn’t a straight up mango fragrance. Lots of complexity which makes it even more special to me. I love the green vibe and the Oud, it smells so luxurious and expensive to me.

I don't own any Lattafa, but I think it's good they seem to have created something new rather than another dupe or enhancement.

Lattafa has hundreds or original compositions, and many of what people claim to be dupes have been in existence for years before those western perfumes they are claiming to be dupes of. Also, many western brands infamously dupe each other.

I just got it, and smelling it from the bottle reminds me of soie malaquais. Dry down has similar creamy fresh vibes don't you think?

Ajaeb Dubai Portreit is my new real big love. I don't feel no lactonik in it and it's very good course I don't really like the note. It smells me like realistic mango. And the oud in base feels naturally too. Holds on for all over the day! Never tried the mango kiss. Just felt in love in this mango, unexpected.. BUT have no idea why, my husband don't like it. He feels chemistry somehow and told he can feel that it is cheep perfume.... So.... Anyway going to use but could be have to be careful and think when to use.. I love the perfume! Don't feel no chemical smell.. What you, people, think about Lattafa personal and just about arab perfumes? Some think that all of is just cheep dupes.. I'm new perfume active user, but opinion of my nose is different.. They don't cost a lot, but anyway somehow quality too.. Not all of, but they are not just about cheep dupes! I really think that Lattafa makes mostly quality ones, and Maison Alhambra too.. Talk to me 🙂 I'd love to understand.

I agree with your husband but sometimes the Lattafa fragrances take time to macerate. Some are very good but some are a major miss. Sometimes the real deal isn’t worth it but some brands like Parfums de Marley and Chanel or Dior , I don’t think lattafa can even come close

I haven’t been lucky with any Lataffa perfumes so far I just don’t like the smell but I’ll definitely try Ajayeb love the notes from what you’re explaining. Teriaq was not love at first sniff I’m letting it macerate and will revisit later. Maybe I’ll have to try a different middle eastern perfume brand😏Thanks for your video

Try Lattafa Fakhar. It smells like L'interdit but better. It's brighter and has a rose twist to it. I own both L'interdit and Fakhar and I reach for Fakhar way more. It's gorgeous.

Also a lot of Middle Eastern companies are umbrella companies of one another so even though it might say Maison Alhambra, it's still Lattafa.

I wish I was getting what everyone else is smeliing with lattafa portrait. I get no creamy mango or sweetness at all! It smells very earthy and green. Almost like a wet grass scent. Maybe it needs to macerate?

Ohhh I do get the green touch too. It’s quite a complex mango fragrance. I think because I already loved Mango Kiss this was an easy love for me. However, it is quite a complex mango Oud DNA so I can see it might not be to everyone’s taste. The earthiness probably comes from the Oud?

Did you get the Ajayeb Dubai Portrait? It’s very fruity and the mango is quite prominent. The version in the black bottle has no mango

Yara Tous is kind of a a basic creamy Mango and Ajeyeb is complex with Oud and green touches. Ajeyeb isn’t a safe blind buy of you don’t like more complex fragrances

They are not similar, Ajayeb Dubai Portrait is way more complex, long lasting and unique. It also have the Oud and the green touch to it, whereas Tous is just creamy mango and fleeting to me

I have a mixture of everything, the majority of my designer fragrances are mostly from the private lines though. I don’t speak about my more affordable designer fragrances as much as I just have others I prefer in my collection and wear more
