The fact Julian can still move his tail is great news, because it means he still has full function of his spine, so the problem is likely non-traumatic or even psychosomatic, which means he has a good chance to recover and, in time, move it, move it once again! This melts my heart

One of the best things I've seen for achieving comedic effect is taking silly cartoon characters and put them in a serious or dramatic scenario. King Julien not being able to "move it move it" because of being stuck in a wheelchair captures that perfectly.

He is only paralized in the legs, and his tail work, indicating that there are good chances to recover the movement of the body. Also if he will loose the legs, he will still be able to move and dance somehow.
