💯% agree! I was hooked instantly too🥰 My husband would always hear me lmao clear on the other side of the house! He started getting jealous because I was addicted and HAD to watch every night so he was curious about MV that he checked him out....then again and again.....now he's hooked too!! If you feel music, it's doing it right. One thing I've noticed from people who listen to country and rock after listening to hip hop predominantly is that they're generally amazed by the mix of strong music and vulnerable lyrics, while people who listen to country and rock predominantly who then listen to hip hop is they're blown away by the intellectualism and skill which comes behind the bars. One of them makes you feel more and the other makes you intellectualize more.

metal is in general about screaming your feelings at the world... Rap is mostly about making yourself seem bigger, better and smarter than the rest, wich will lead to intellectulism in some cases.... in others its just about cadillacs, bling and mumbling attitude... But rock deffinetly has its own fair share of braggadocious types! :D

Your reaction expresses everything I feel when I hear this song to this day. LP songs usually talk to you on a very personal level as if it was meant and written for you. We all have our struggles, demons and issues to deal with and these songs resonate to each one of us. Songs you listened to years ago hit you differently now, as you grow, learn, evolve and your outlook on life and perception of the world changes.

Numb is one of Linkin Park's roughest song to ACTUALLY dive into, EVERYTHING that they did was emotionally driven, in my opinion they NEVER went commercial in ANYTHING that they did, but NUMB has the ability to pull EVERY regret & felling of loss/disappointment that you EVER felt out into the open for you to see. It's hard, so damn HARD to try & live through all that shit again, but it can keep you sane & on an even keel. It is just so hard that Chester couldn't let go of his ghosts & allowed his depression to consume him. Chester, you will be missed brother, god's speed & I hope that you can find peace in the hereafter.

1- You can't go wrong with LP! 🧡 It hit me hard when Chester died. I lost someone I loved so much to suicide. It hits you to your core. Stays with you everyday. You just learn to live with it. That's why songs like this help. You can scream em til your lungs get soar. And for a those few minutes you feel as though someone or something in this world is truly understanding how you're feeling. Speaking the words you're unable to find yourself. Music is amazing, isnt it? 2- They did a couple of mash ups with JayZ also. If you haven't heard those, check em out also. 3- Don't listen to anyone but yourself. Meh, you could say that about most 90s bands. Alice in Chains, Pantera, Soundgarden just to name a few that have very relatable lyrics if you have depression. You just prefer Linkin Park is all, doesn't mean no other band can do it.

One of those bands I still listen to even in my 30s 👍 I always related to this song in my teens being a goth. Always brings back memories. as i've gotten older i've seen and still feel those feelings of needing to be me and being under so much pressure to be what someone else wants you to be and do. as a parent now and seeing my child grow older and knowing she'll have those same feelings as everyone else does. but now i feel what its like as the parent wanting the love of your life to be successfull. life is hard

Your not gonna like this but if your a true fan then you should really check out “one more light” Chester sang his heart out and it was one of the last songs that he did that had a real impact on depression and anxiety awareness. Its a tear jerker so beware! Peace!✌️

It's rumored that his biological father was John Podesta. I don't know that it's true but there is a resemblance to him. Anyway... Ya know the one thing I love about your reactions? They obviously real... Not only do you listen but you feel the music and lyrical content as well as understand it. And THAT my friend is uncommon. I pay attention to what people do to see if it contradicts what the person says. If people paid more attention to body language, they would be less likely to be fooled. There are certain people that are harder to read (like politicians) because we rarely get much time to watch. And let's face a true fact here... The video footage we do get to see is edited. Keep on going with your music journey my friend. I'd like to suggest that you react to a real and a much older metal video. If memory serves me right I believe this German band hit the American scene in late 1984 or early 1985. The Bands name is Accept and the song is Balls to the Wall. Another German metal band I'm going to suggest has a female singer. She was the real deal. Look up Warlock's song Fight for Rock. Another good German is the Scorpions. Love the soulful edge of this tune. Unique sound. My message to "some" young people; Don't be a home-bound pussy that won't accept a tough challenge to adapt and grow. Not doing anything you don't want to do - that's not a winning plan. It only serves addiction and weakness. Dependence on others is a slow destruction that feeds off of your mind. This song gets me every time I listen to it. It holds on to certain people who have been through something that was traumatic in their earlier life. I love getting this vibe from lyrics. I just know im paying more attention to the feeling and listening to the words.
