Not necessarily. In some of our black communities we have “my mechanic” or “fix it man”. Sometimes theyre ex cons who can’t get a legit job or retired mechanics or unfortunately people on drugs but can do the job. I agree. The nickname was a bit much and her whole “if I wanted him I could have it” is absolutely not comforting, but I think on his end it really is just harmless.
