Happy New Year! First I want to say that I should have taken my gloves off to handle these fish, but I don't think anymore slime came off of them than would have if it was my bare hands. It was the final fishing outing of 2023 for me, and fishing was slow at first, but in the end it paid off. I struggled fishing for walleye all year, but the last fish of the year made up for it. Also, I promise this is the last time I post from this spot for a while. When I fish new water I have a tendency to scout it for a long time. Anyways, thanks for watching!

You definitely have a honey hole. Very good day. Glad the water is still open.

Thanks! Yeah wish I had gotten at least a measurement of her, but she was a hog!

I don't know if you could hope for better fishing in late December than this. That was a tank walleye and the other one was a nice one too. Congrats! Good smallies as well. You found a money spot!

Thanks a lot! This spot has been so lucrative for me this winter. I'm ready for some ice soon though, hopefully.

Thanks man! The last time I went I couldn't get any predators to bite, but there seemed to be a lot of carp and buffalo that had moved in. Thanks for watching!

Great video. What was that plastic you were using? And what size jig?

Thanks, I appreciate you watching! I was using a 1/32 oz jig head and a 2" shad plastic made by Creme.

You need to start carrying your scale I think the weight would have surprised you. I bet it was 6+. That thing was super fat.

Yeah looks like it had been eating a lot of shad. I actually got my scale back working, just haven't been remembering to grab it.
