Legendary Grandmaster Maurice Ashley, the first African-American to ever reach the title of Chess Grandmaster faces Woman Grandmaster Dina Belenkaya.
They both met at a beautiful rooftop in Madrid, Spain during the Candidates Tournament 2022. Here, they played a couple of Blitz matches with special Immortal Game rules (side quests that give you additional points if you win the game) for a very fun and chess battle.
00:00 Intro
00:10 Game 1
04:02 Game 2
Immortal Game is the World’s First Chess Game with Play-And-Earn online chess, with side quests. It consists of normal pieces and special ones - called IMMORTALS. Each Immortal has a side quest attached to it. As you play the game, you also keep in mind what side quest you have and try to complete it. The rules of chess are exactly the same! If you win the game, you get credits for every quest you achieved. More Info about the game on immortal.game.

When chess is played, there is no talking ... Talkative people play chess weakly ... They try to deconcentrate the opponent, and they get tired of it - with their success ...!

Yeah, you're right, they also talk and trash talk for entertainment purposes. It's an informal setting. I think it's hilarious they can combine chess, with the back and both banter.

if talking is enough to make you lose then you are just the worse player. Its not that easy to talk your opponent out of concentration.

I saw him at the world chess championship on TV in Dubai last year. His rating is suppose to be around 2600. Not only is he strong on the chessboard, but strong in the biceps department, an unusual combination, lol.

@@pandurendradjaja8994 That was brilliant, that guy new what he was doing, that was attempted cheat. That's the second time I've seen GM Maurice out of a tournament setting, he does seem like a genuinely sound guy. I had him wrong. Chess has a lot of arrogant egotistical people that follow it and my assumptions were wrong with this guy.

Black people are less susceptible to the effects of photoageing as a result of UVA/UVB radiation from the sun. This is because of the higher concentration and density of melanin in their skin. This means that as they get older they are less likely to have wrinkles or damaged skin than people with lighter skin, helping them to maintain a more youthful look
@Dude20106

If I were a black dude and someone created a KZfaq video about me with that title, I'd ask to change it immediately. I'd rather be recognized solely by my accomplishments, not my skin color. People just don't see how divisive it is. It's modern segregation, and it is so mainstream that people think it's right, especially people under 30 who didn't live the times when political correctness and progressive BS wasn't so dominant. And here they come 👇

I get what you are saying and I mostly agree as we're all people, no matter the skin color. He is however the first ever african-american GM in the world, which is actually a big deal for the general equality, as most things in the world, chess being no exception, were dominated and/or gatekept by white people and he broke that. I'm conflicted on this one, because I believe in the idea that You presented, that the skin color shouldn't have anything to do with this, but in some way it does, because he broke the status quo.
@martinpaddle
@martinpaddle Жыл бұрын
@@fmoonek recently Maryna Viazovska got the highest honour in Mathematics, the Fields Medal. Ever since her breakthrough results on sphere packing in 2016 she was tipped for the prize. But she also happens to be only the second woman to ever get this award, and is Ukrainian. The media never got tired of emphasizing this ("Ukrainian the second ever woman to.. " and so on), which was just feeding the suspicion by resentful men that this was a political decision (it was decided before the war btw). It's clear to anyone familiar with tbe results that any French man would have gotten it too for those results. I wish the media would focus on what she got the award for, and mentioned her sex and nationality in passing, rather than the other way around.
