I had already ran into Daigo Umehara in ranked matches in Japan, and played him in casuals at Gamers8... so I thought maybe he would accept an invite to play some sets. Thankfully he did, and we got some crazy matches with a Street Fighter legend.
Street Fighter 6, the next game in the iconic series, will release in 2023! Take part in the Fighting Ground, which focuses on the classic fighting game experience with modes from previous games in the series. Two new modes will be available alongside: World Tour, an immersive single-player story experience, and Battle Hub, which will further expand the scope of player communication and engagement. Your Moment. Your Fight.

It's cool to see pro SF players finally make enough to do this cross-world training just for the purpose of upping their skills. There's nothing better to up your game than getting in these long sets with the gods of the franchise. You could also see that Daigo went all out on Nephew, he found and punished every little move choice he could to win. SSJ4 Nephew will be scary indeed. You can also see in Nephew's face that he believed he would lose, his confidence is riding on every round and even on a hit in a specific round. He smiles to himself like "Of course he'd get me there, it's Daigo". Difficult experiences like this are helpful for overcoming those thoughts and treating every opponent the same, no matter what their name is. Keep going!

As a Manon main, when I watch matches lke this with these types of characters, its a painful reminder of how essentially, these characters are truly playing SF6. Its like Manon, and a few others aren't playing SF6, we're playing a completely different game. Its hard to explain if you don't happen to main the low tier type, but if you do, you know what im talking about.

What happened to Daigo after he gave you the Moment 37 Intro Class? Faded away. Also why does he refuse to jinrai. Is Ken a good character for Daigo?
@MasterFaiyn
@MasterFaiyn 5 ай бұрын
The better I get with Ken, the more that I understand that Jinrai is a trap. It's incredibly hard to get the right spacing to make it safe, and some characters can just outright nullify it if they block the first hit. Jinrai is incredibly powerful when your opponent is in burnout. I believe low mk into mk Jinrai + lk is a true blockstring in burnout and the frame difference means it can't be punished. You'll notice daigo was using Jinrai a bunch as soon as Nephew was in burnout.

It makes all her normal attacks cancellable into each other, even from lower to higher strength, even attacks that normally can't cancel, so she can string together long, high-damage combos and conversions she can't usually. She just can't use the same button twice in the combo, so it means many juri lvl2 combos have her doing a lot of different punches and kicks.@@MrM4rvelous

@@Borgorkang honestly, I think it's better for most things (once you get used to it, which DOES take an adjustment period depending on your hand skill. I'm a musician so took me only a week or two but I've heard a month or two from others) EXCEPT 360/720 motions, which feel weird on it. I'm a Chun main (Charge) and love Tekken as well so I have always preferred Fight Stick/Hitbox over Controller. I'm a 90s kid who grew up in arcades, though.
