Thanks to @tenniswarehouse I had the opportunity to play some games with Marcos Giron (ATP #44 career high) and Bethanie Mattek Sands (WTA #1 career high) during the 2024 Indian Wells tournament!

I normally don’t enjoy these types of tennis videos but I really enjoyed this one. The comparisons were multifaceted, from the WTA vs ATP angle, the amateur vs pro angle, men vs women angle, and more, it was very interesting to watch. Thanks Winston!

Winston you really are testament to how little depth control top-spin allows. Marcos demonstrates how uncritically hard pros hit the ball to be competitive--nice guy. Here's a tip worth its cost: choke up for a few minutes when practicing...it concentrates your contact area

Do the pros (generally, in any similar cases) get paid for these sorts of things (joes vs pros, great name from winston), or is it just helping the tennis/sporting community? There’s lots of similar stuff on youtube, and its a real treat to watch.

awesome video. one tip winston - maybe you're already aware, but you're way to upright and open on your ground strokes, which leads to a passive loopy shot. A bit more of using your body to generate power and your shots will have a lot more pop to them.

@@WinstonDudon’t try using excuses lol, your technique hasn’t changed a bit in years, and you watch yourself over and over and still the same, idk if it’s because you americans have no common sense or criticism, or because your tennis coaches don’t focus on technique at all, but our third category here are miles above guys at your level.
