Awesome stories Jeff and Keith!!! My background was similar to both of you. I worked a cashier job out of high school but I also took a network course at the university. However when I took the network course I didn't know thats what I really want to get into until a couple years working in desktop support.

The title is a bit misleading. A lot of encouraging talk. But, very little at all about the new CCNA and specifically what to expect going into it.

This video is not about the actual CCNA course. It is about the new way of doing things at CBT with adept. Now they seem to go a lot more in-depth on each topic or skill. Their new way of training is so much better at covering each topic in much greater detail.

4 years in IT. Really want to advance and get my CCNA and eventually CCNP and CCIE. Going to keep studying for the CCNA but should I be worried that it will be that much different. Only 3 mins into the vid.

A big topic that is being thrown around youtube is that if CCIE is still worth it in 2023-2024 as an option of an expert level cert. I am hoping you can share your views on this Keith?

Thank you for the question @joejoe2452. The skills are more important than the certs, of any kind. If possible, get the skills, and the certs to help prove them. If you can only have 1, get the skills.

Jeff, Keith. Have you worked with anyone with memory disabilities trying to "get back" their CCNA certification? I've had my CCNA and once CCNP until the exams have become Bloatedly Long and filled with double/triple negatives. How does someone with short term memory issues and slow reading pass a Cisco Exam? I've had my certification and working with Cisco equipment since 1999 and couldn't pass a test since a 2020 renewal attempts and more failed exams. I'm gearing up take the exam by the end of February. I saw a new CCNA exam study from your team, and was working with it, but now it disappeared. It was called CCNA 2023. Will that come back online?

Thank you, @davidthompson9359! The new CCNA is now available on CBT Nuggets' Adept side. If you're a member, please contact their support for access. For me, the secret to really learning something is hands on practice, over and over again. I use it to help validate what I am learning. Sometimes that is a slow process, but very useful. For CCNA you can use the free Packet Tracer, or at CBT Nuggets, our CCNA course includes hands on labs (both iterations of our CCNA have that option). Hope that is helpful, and if you have the choice between staying positive and practicing hands on, choose hands on. (And the positive outlook can only help that as well.) My issue is that I got a new job at the isp i work for where we use Nokia Alcatel Lucent which is a totally different beast and cli all together so i think I'm going to run out of time renewing my CCNA as i need to shift my attention a bit to Alcatel Lucent.
