I'm sorry, but if you think gay relationships are "gross", that makes you a homophobe. You're entitled to that opinion. But don't deny you're a homophobe.

No. That's not the definition of homophobia, and is a common misunderstanding and defense. Homophobia is dislike or prejudice against homosexual people. Give it a Google.

I totally agreed with you Baylee... A number of my friends are members of the LGBT community and I love them and want them to be happy whether they choose marriage or not. But i've had a couple of gay guys mention in passing that its 'gross' the idea of a man and woman kissing... Is that heterophiba then or not? I know a lot of people say that you can't be racist towards white people, but being a white woman and being told to get 'the hell lost' in a prominently African-American neighbourhood because the store i needed to go to was in that community, that's racists isn't it? So, wouldn't a LGBT person saying that straight people kissing is gross be a phobia too?

Baylee Jae Slaaaayyy!!!! I agree 100% like why say you support gay people but then say they're gross? How is that supporting them? If you support and accept them you would be comfortable with the thought of gay people kissing. If you're uncomfortable and say it's grossing you out just by the thought then yea sorry to say but you are homophobic. Baylee honestly this is why I love you so much like not only do you draw and are really creative, you're not afraid to voice your opinions on issues and in general are very accepting to everyone. You inspire me everyday and I always look forward to your videos! There honestly needs to be more people with your viewpoint since people usually don't have a clue as to what they're talking bout now a days

What IS gross is that other people find it more important to worry about a couple's genitals instead of their happiness and compatibility.

Honestly, why do people care if they want to marry the same sex? Like, does it affect your life *that* negatively? Does it affect you in such a way where you go out of your way to show blatant disgust to them? Would you willingly throw out your own child, your own flesh and blood, just because they like the same sex? Is it because they don't qualify to your beliefs? We all have flesh and bones, brains and hearts, regardless of our ethnicity, race, sexuality, or beliefs. What makes them any different from the rest of us? (Wow ranty and unecessary. Whoops)

I'm so glad you mentioned the PDA thing - when I was in High School there were two girls who would make out right by the elevator and I'm in a wheelchair and would need to go in the elevator first thing in the morning. I wanted to tell them to stop making out but they would have said I was discriminating and homophobic and I'm totally not, I just don't need to see any people of any gender making out while I need to head to class!

You do realize that they "accept" gay PEOPLE, not GAYNESS, right? Possibly they *tolerate* the homosexuality but *accept* the part of the person that makes them a human. That makes us all human. I have several bi friends who I love and care about, even though I disagree with how they view the subject of homosexuality. I love them anyway.

I really don't want anyone to take this the wrong way, because I am someone who actively supports gay people and gay rights but I have to slightly disagree with you Baylee about the thing you said in this personally I feel like accepting and supporting something is very different, like accepting something but not liking it or thinking its 'gross' is one thing then saying you support it. For example, I'm a vegetarian and I accept that people eat meat and animals are killed for food and think its 'gross' but I don't support it. Where as I actively support LGBT rights and think I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. So to me accepting and supporting something is very different. But if you feel differently I understand, different opinions. Please don't hate me 😂😂, I love your vlogs (That drag show looked so fun I wish we had them were I live)
@Palitato
@Palitato 7 жыл бұрын
I'm of the same mindset! You can find something gross and still support it. They may think it's disgusting and gross, but if someone tries to say a gay couple can't get married, they'll still stand up to defend them. Yeah, they think it's icky or whatever in their own head, but they'll defend the rights of those other people to be in a relationship. It's like that old quote of not liking what someone has to say, but defending to the death their right to say it.
@gingernugget98
@gingernugget98 7 жыл бұрын
Palitato that's not exactly what I was saying, what I was saying is there is a difference in accepting and supporting. yes you may support people's rights but find actually being gay gross but I think sporting rights in general and specially supporting LGBT pepple is different. but in my previous comment I was just saying accepting something is there doesn't mean you support it.
@Palitato
@Palitato 7 жыл бұрын
That's the whole argument though- you CAN support someone's rights and still find it gross. It's possible. You can find it horribly disgusting but still go to rallies and support the rights of the lgbt+ community. People can have their own personal feelings and still support the rights of others, even if those rights go against said feelings. You can, A: Find gay couples to be perfectly normal and accept and support everything they do (that's me, btw) B: Find it weird/gross but still support their rights to marry/live/etc C: Find it weird/gross and passively ignore their existence (IE, not voting to give or take rights away) D: Find it weird/gross and actively vote to take away the rights of those people to do the thing you find weird/gross. To me, the person Baylee mentioned is B. They may not personally accept gay couples, but they can still support their right to be gay.

Baylee , love your videos! Now, glitter (I have to fix everyone's problems!) - card makers have three ways to clean up glitter. Using water is not one of them :-) 1. Swiffer Sweeper cloths, either the kind you put on the bottom of a Swiffer duster or the kind that you put on the bottom of Swiffer's mop like thing that picks up dust and dirt from the floor. 2. Lint brush. 3. Scor-pal Glitter Pickup Cloth. This has some kind of sticky stuff on it that picks up the glitter. (it feels really weird.) You treat it like a dust cloth. The glitter sticks to it. It comes in a big piece so I have cut mine into pieces but you can use the individual pieces on quite a few glitter spills! No. 3 is my personal favorite. Now--I have no idea how to get glitter off a cat :-). But I bet one of these ways would work! Good luck!

How about zip tying (or using those bread ties) to separate the cords that you don't move from room to room from the cords you do move from room to room. That way, it makes your cord jungle just a tad easier to manage? Unless you've already have a set up like that. Then make it rain glitter as you shake your fist up at the sky xDD
@Palitato
@Palitato 7 жыл бұрын
If you use something like a pool noodle that has a slit down the side, you'll be able to contain them all while still being able to get things free of the rest.
@LSWArt
@LSWArt 7 жыл бұрын
If you use regular bread ties, you wouldn't have to cut cords to remove anything. You would just un twist said old fashioned twist ties. Or, with the clip kinda ties they make now a days for bread, you just take them off, remove said cords, and then replace said clip ties to keep the cords together and out of the way.

I see your point about the gay thing. Though I think that there is a slight but real difference between accepting and supporting. People can accept homosexuality but not support it (because maybe they are grossed out by the thought) they shouldnt claim to support it but i believe that they CAN actually be accepting of it. For example, I accept that people have foot fetishes, but I dont actively support foot fetishes because I'm not a fan of it personally. I like my boyfriends feet but I dont have a fetish for them. So I accept it but I dont support it because I, personally, do not hold that same desire/ideal for feet. You know what I mean? I'm not sure if I'm explaining it well. But I think it's kinda like that, people can accept homosexuality is a reality but not actively support it. For another example, my dad would fall under 'acceptance'. His sister (my aunt) is a lesbian. He loves her and accepts who she is but he's not one to go out of his way and support gay people because he has more traditional ideals. He accepts they are who they are but he doesn't personally support it. It's just he doesn't have a problem with them as people. I wish he showed more support but he just doesn't, but that doesn't mean he has a problem with gay people, themselves.
@metiaharris6838
@metiaharris6838 7 жыл бұрын
I am exactly like this. I accept it but wont actually support it because I am more of a traditional relationship thinker. I have friends and my sister is bi. She asked me how I felt if she told me she was bi (which she is) and I was like i don't care what you pick to be I still believe what I believe. We went about our day as usual. I tell my gay friends, we're friends but as soon as I perceive a touch (especially based on where you place it) I will fight you. I also tell them don't expect me to be politically correct because I don't do politeness. If you're one of my bi friends I'll think gay before lesbian or bi when I see you walking down the street with the same sex. They accept my way of thinking. They don't support it but we have an understanding. Support can not be forced. If some people reach acceptance let them be don't ask for more, you might mess up somewhere without knowing. I had another friend that did that lets just say the person she was, I don't want to say harassed, but she kept going at him trying to debate him and he hit the snap button and went ballistic (he didn't kill her or anything like that though we had to keep them apart for him to cool down). We blamed her though so she couldn't act the victim, because she kept messing with him about something that he had the right to a difference of opinion.

If we are talking about gay rights then I think someone can support gay rights while thinking being gay in of itself is disgusting by virtue of being libertarian. If you support personal rights then you should support someones sexual rights despite it being disgusting to think about.

TBH Lets change the perspective a little ; You accept people having sex but you wouldnt neccessarily be like “YES PLEASE HAVE SEX!l but the thought of it grosses you out. Thid is just to put it into perspective and I full on support LGBTQ+ rights without discussion but just because ppl think sth id gross doesnt mean they are against it. Another really simple example: I personally think that snails and horses are terrifingly gross does that mean that I am scared?In fact no? Does that mean that I am against them and want them to be slaughtered and to not exist? No i think ppl will have gotten the point by now that supporting and finding something gross can come and appear hand in hand

Baylee, you are my role model. I know you properly won't see this but, you also give me something to talk about with my family. My mom always tells me if u post anything new on instagram and I love seeing them. I always say that next time you go to an artist alley in the states I am going to save up my money. I totally agree with what you said-it is about time for people to accept that we are all humans, and we all are the same. Thank you for giving me hope that one day I could be a full time artist.

With all of those peripherals, have you thought about getting another computer (it wouldn't even have to be that high-end) and setting up a second workstation for things like scanning, printing, etc.? I ended up doing this in my office - I have my main computer for my development work and then a secondary workstation for audio recording and editing. I keep the mic and headphones over there and that leaves me room on my desk/USB ports on my main work computer to hook up mobile devices for testing, etc. I was afraid it would feel too scattered at first, but it's really not. It's nice to have the separation between different purposes.

for the drawer that got ripped up from the liquid latex you could either get contact paper or if you have left over burlap you could cut it to the size of the drawer :)

For the drawer that had the white ripped off, get some wallpaper and cut it to size to put in the drawer. It will had a fun pop of color and cover the oops. There is also the option of using wrapping paper or the locker sticker stuff that kids used to use in high school. :)

If I remember, you got a huge pack of lint rollers. . .(could be wrong) maybe it's a good thing you bought them. Then you can just roll them across your desk to pick up all the glitter before you stream. Then you don't have to worry about the glitter getting into the paint =D

Oh my god, that was a lot of glitter, lol. That video you're using it for is gonna make my best friend Jon veeerrryy happy, lol. You see, glitter is his favorite color. And yes, according to him, glitter is a color. (He's a drag queen, 'nuff said, lol)
