Also remember that Minecraft intentionally designs itself around the idea of being as appealing as possible to the most amount of people and they seem to believe that a mob vote would do that best.

Not exactly. They have a lot more to go through than modders ever need to since they're part of a whole game company. A few of the devs have explained this on Twitter. Going from rough concepts to many iterations, quality control/trying to make it bug-free as they can, work with other aspects of the entire game so there's no other bugs showing up, having it meet specific standards and approval, having to do this twice because of working with two different engines and for it to work across multiple devices, communications between one another, all the while having to work on multiple other features for the main update and other projects, with the pressure to meet a dedicated deadline/timeframe until its official release date (hence why they can sometimes run out of time for some features and end up having to scrap them). Not to mention, mob vote mobs are always low-priority compared to everything else.

If they add it so many people will have complains about not being able to coustomize it and that it doesn't make your wolf immortal, just a little more protection. Bedrock: Blockbench & Bridge v2 Java: Blockbench & Json/Jar Coding program with mod knowledge On Java mods may be better quality but are way more complicated to make. On bedrock are more low quality because the point of bedrock is to be optimized for any device. But it's more simple on bedrock.
