be careful after having dreads for 4 years. combing it all out. my head still feels ultra light. i find myself turning my head with too much force. they have been gone for a year now and i still cant stop fucking up my neck haha

I just finished combing out mine too! Congrats! 🎉 I started in July I think lol and finished last week. It took forever it was so hard to find time and be motivated. I’m also 8 months pregnant and have a one year old. So there’s that! Lol but I’m excited for this new journey as well. Good luck!

You should do a how I trim my ends video, then a hair porosity test video then a natural hair product shopping video. In that order. Just do your research on each topic. Natural hair is fun especially when shopping for natural hair products. Natural hair is all about trial and error so learn what works for your hair. That's why you should do the hair porosity test so you can see what kind of products would work for your hair. Anywho, I'm happy your on a new journey with your hair!

This is a breath of fresh air man, I’ve been in between taking out my dreads as I don’t want to cut them. It’s been a dramatic decision as I’ve had them for at least 2 years but can’t keep up with them so I guess I’ll with the long curly hair style maybe.

Gunther don’t wash your hair more than twice a week and make sure you use coconut oil to promote hair growth and won’t be as dry

Coconut oil makes my hair stink so bad and it always feels dry, use tea tree oil and argan oil instead

To give real advice you should get a small trim on the ends of your hair so that you don’t experience anymore breakage from the split ends you probably have a lot of

@@radiantsmiler3689 just combed mines out after 1 and a half years.Took me 21 days and a lot of neck pain. I decided not to trim my hair but rather I locd back up with a thicker set.

I guess, I'll take advantage of this quarantine, while we still have it, and may wear a neck brace to prevent pain. Lol

I tried to comb out mine but I only combed out about three or four and then I just cut out the rest of them. I just cannot wait until I get my locs back I can’t wait. I’ll say by February I can start my process back to getting my locs

Locs were once looked at in awe because of the commitment of time it took to get them, now everyone twist and crochet their hair , call em “locs” then comb/cut off....of course it’s your hair you can do what you want with It, however It causes a lot of confusion for those who want to understand the natural religious aspect of growing locs
