higher voltage doesnt always mean higher temps if you're not talking about the same architecture. It's about the tdp. AMD already stated that their tdp's would go down a lot. i'm an intel user myself, but if amd is right then the competition will be on again
@hello_2632
@hello_2632 7 жыл бұрын
We'll see. If it was 2v though, that is insane for a cpu (atleast if it's not nitrogen cooled). It will have a high tdp if it is 2v.
@youridv
@youridv 7 жыл бұрын
Abhinav Praveen there's no correlation between voltage and wattage without knowing how many amps go through the chip. if the voltage doubles and the amps half, the wattage is constant. if the new amd chips have a higher resistance than intel then amd could very well hit 65 watts tdp on the non oc ones
@hello_2632
@hello_2632 7 жыл бұрын
Youri Dv If the amps half and voltage doubles, resistance would increase, and each resistor generates heat. That will also decreasw efficiency increasing wattage either way.

I have to agree with Jon on this one. There are several available that do at least three of those without a doubt. An example would be the LEPA LP-BOL12R rated at a high 81.5CFM and a quiet 18dB while only costing $12. And I'm sure if you looked hard enough you'd be able to find a fan with good airflow, good pressure, low noise, and low cost.

static pressure means that the airflow is limited between a certain space such as a fan and a radiator, there's not much airflow available, that's why there are fans designed for static pressure.
@R4GEcraft
@R4GEcraft 7 жыл бұрын
What ? No. When the "airflow is limited", we talk about pressure drop. Static pressure is what it is, just a pressure. When a fan is optimised for static pressure, it only means that it converts a higher percentage of given power to pressure and less, since power is conserved, to air flow.

Don't forget that fin density will make a difference too. In this test you used a fairly dense radiator. With less fins per inch the difference between fan types would be less as there is less resistance. In fact, it would be interesting to see that experiment as with less resistance you would expect the AF fans to do better. Next video perhaps Jay?

Just a feedback.
