Mark, that last email he wrote that he claims was "In the morning after a night of partying", please check the timestamp. If this timestamp doesn't match "morning hours" for a US citizen then maybe fake ken is not from US. It could be a clue.

It's not a Russian accent, not traditional one at least. It's actually quite easy to work out nationality when you have bulk text to go through as grammatical mistakes are very consistent identifiers.

Mark, that's not his IP address from the email headers. That's of the sending mail server, and at 20:08, it's just a random Google server in the rough location, which may or may not be correct if they're using a VPN, which they almost certainly are. You won't get the IP address from the email headers unless a server at his location is being used, which it isn't.

Chances of a coward turning up = 0, but nice work cornering him and the authorities are alert. It is amazing how many scams are running at the moment, as you said, if you cannot see it, touch it and shake someone's hand, walk away. I had to put down a deposit on a car I recently bought and did not breath a sigh of relief until I turned up and saw it and they gave me the keys and said take it for a spin. Old School.

UK Police won't touch this with a barge. UK Police don't have jurisdiction to deal with threats from someone abroad. Your better off reporting it to the local Police where the suspect lives in the US.

not really, hes found an IP in a header, it doesn't help at all really, and you can't find IP info from insta or LinkedIn etc. He'd have to try and match the names of the accounts, but again it give shim nothing, It sounded impressive, the reality is it gets them nowhere.

He’s the guy driving the wrong way down a one way alley flipping you off and acting like you need to move out of HIS way. F**k that guy and everyone like him! He’s all talk, he has your email and access to instagram so can repost your pics and stuff but that’s it, doubt he can cause any real damage.

Wow. That story was fascinating and unnerving at the same time. We are all susceptible to scammers and they are all around us, it's just not usually the case that the victim gets to find out who the scammer is and hopefully get something done about it. There is no chance Fake Ken will seek you out personally but who knows what contacts he has in this country. Stay safe mate.
