Growing up as a kid, before all the mascot horrors and various indie games outside of the most popular titles of today, there were tons of games I enjoyed over the years: Kingdom Hearts Fire Emblem (GBA version) Brave Fencer Musashi Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Syphon Filter Now on the subject of this rumble, while these characters hardly disappoint when it comes to these events, shenanigans were bound to ensue. Specifically, one superstar was so desperate to get into the champion’s rumble that he stole an unknown competitor’s entry number even after he was previously eliminated (And STILL failed to win). Surprisingly, it took only one elimination to make a notable video game star’s victory possible and it was none other than… Scorpion, the yellow-clad ninja who has been a main stay in nearly every Mortal Kombat game in the series. Originally, he was an undead Japanese warrior defined by his quest to avenge the deaths of himself, his family, and his clan. After killing the man he believed to be the killer, the original Scorpion, known as Hanzo Hasashi, developed a feud with the original Sub-Zero’s younger brother that would span most of the franchise before discovering Quan Chi was the real murderer. While Scorpion has always been a neutral figure focused primarily on revenge, he’ll side with those who can help him achieve his goals. Whether you follow him as Hasashi or even Kuai Liang according to the two recent reboots, Scorpion needed to only eliminate one man to enter the champions’ rumble and it will be curious to see how well he performs in the finale. But who was my MVP of this video game rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers: Of the 28 men and one woman featured in this match, only FOURTEEN competitors secured the elimination (One star short of the halfway mark). The highest count reached up to ‘8’ eliminations, which is seven points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. I give the Golden MVP Award for ‘coolest’ performance to: Luigi When we think of the ‘Mario Brothers’, most people tend to overlook Luigi’s part in the franchise but as of late there have been a growing number of fans who tire of seeing Luigi as just ‘player two’ or ‘Green Mario’. One notable example I can recall is NoDQ CAW that saw Luigi’s rise as a solo competitor (Even though he betrayed and cost Mario his job way back when). And coincidentally, I portrayed Luigi for a show at Mizucon two weekends ago where part of the plot had me defeating Mario in combat (But you’d have to have been there). Still, all this proves that Luigi has gained quite a strong following over the years, and it would be no surprise if he appears in a future MVP rumble. The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance goes to: Duke Nukem While there have been a few superstars who didn’t meet expectations in this match, Sonic the Hedgehog was definitely a close consideration, tradition spares a Hedgehog of his setbacks against a man who made quite an impression in first person shooter games. Not only that, but back when another CAW league called New Gen Wrestling was in business, Nukem was one of the toughest competitors on the roster and held a few titles in his prime. Yet even with all this nostalgia of CAW wrestling in my mind, it’s not enough to hide the fact that Nukem had arguably the worst performance in this match and calling it embarrassing is a gross understatement. Against all insurmountable odds, Scorpion’s victory in this rumble marks a greater achievement than anything he could’ve accomplished in most CAW shows he’s been involved with. Now we ask ourselves the following questions: Will Scorpion’s victory inspire other Mortal Kombat stars to enter this season? Is this the last we’ll see of any further video game related rumbles? Does one absent combatant deserve compensation for having his spot stolen by a living hacky-sack toy? And the biggest question of them all: Who’s next?

Great Rumble. I would like to see another video game rumble in the future. My favorite games are 1: The Legend of Zelda games, 2: Super Mario Bros Games, 3: Resident Evil Series, 4: Silent Hill Series, 5: WWF/E Wrestling Games.

That was cool. Originally, I went for Dhalsim (doll seem), at least that's how I pronounced his name? Then from the final 4 I went for Scorpion, so that worked! Favorite games, by categories. Arcade: several, too many games I liked, from the 80's and 90's! As for console games, Final Fantasy series, played all of them, up to FF7 owned all of them, up to FF7 finished all of them & Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, also played all of them and finished all of them. GTA series 1-5, (yes it does include the one from England/British version) also finished all of them. I don't have all of the games anymore, they either were stolen, sold, or broken/ damaged?

some crazy parts I've seen SPOILERS! you know, knuckles get out seconds before you, Ken almost got out first but King Hipoo puch you before you relised, Bowser helped Luigi get the first guy out first, the Tables turned around when King Hippo eliminated Valte boy after seconds Valte Boy tryed to get him out, ligi didn't know but he just helped king hippo get out the hero in his game, King Hippo some how eliminated at Mortal Combat character, Luigi got his reveng on King Hipoo becuas he got out Mario, when sakeboy came in, he looked diffrent so it's sakeboy imposter, didn't know Halo first name was John Halo and don't mess with Scorpion because i don't much but i think the timeline resets at the end of every game

Clash of clans, angry birds, and war dragons were good mobile games for a while, but once they forced you to pay for every single thing, I stopped. Also, yes, it got way too demanding.

First and foremost loved the video. Second since I know you asked I think it was last video but I love these type of rumbles more than the ones using actual wrestlers simply because the creation zone is so insane with what you can create I feel the best and most optimal use is for things like these which is to make fantasy rumbles.
