Everything looks fantastic! Unless you're set on keeping the brass side table inside, you could move it to the porch and put the trunk under the window, next to the chair...just a thought. I have one of the snake plant/mother-in-law tongue plants my grandmother gave me well over 20 years ago, and I've had to repot it many times. They will, indeed, break through a pot. When I repot it, I always take care to keep the original center part of the plant she gave me. Oh wow, I have a crucifix like the MOP one you got. There was an old wall shelf, at 9:16, that I'd have grabbed. I really like those things, and they can be quite useful, especially when there isn't space anywhere else for stuff. Loved that pinecone decorated plate! That's one of my favourite patterns on porcelain. Oak leaves and acorns are another of my favourites. If Aaron has a torch, a small sledge hammer or another heavier hammer, and something to put it on, so he could "pound away" at it, the squiggles could be hammered out of the candle stand. It shouldn't be too difficult to do, either. Just that little bit did a lot for the back entrance! You got really great items!

Oooh I hadn’t thought about him straightening it🤔. You see what I mean though right? Very 80’s 90s lol I love that you still have the original plant! How cool is that?? I didn’t notice an old shelf I’ll have to go back and look!

@@HouseonNoble If it was straightened, it would actually give it more height, too...probably several inches. Yeah, it does have an 80s - 90s look, with the squiggles. I always want to take care I keep the original plant grandmother gave me. I was thinking about that, too...that plant is probably 35 or 40 years old. When it blooms, it puts up long stalks with small white flowers on them. The smell, though 🤢 Grandmother always said it smelled like a dead rat 😂 That shelf was a small one, but it was an old one.

We are doing the same thing. I have been packing for our next move in a couple of months. So today my husband helped me rearrange the front room. I just sent my plants up to my daughters house for her to babysit until we move closer.

Our decorating astectic is so similar. Love so many of your finds. Where you have all your pictures on the dresser. Get things to use for risers to add height and demension such as old books and wood boxes. I'm always checking out the wood isle in Goodwill for great riser ideas. Love having my things at different heights for my vignettes. You do beautiful work. ❤

I more than adore your house,Alex..It’s the way I would furnish and decorate my house too. I just didn’t have an easy life and just now,that I am 68 and a widow,have a bit of time to do my little flat the way I love it. I buy everything second hand because I don’t have a lot of money..but I don’t mind. I love a challenge.😊 I will try to find a way to send you the pictures of my flat. Those candleholders were perfect for that spot, they match the plant stand. The light was a definitely a fantastic update. I would rub n buff the mirror., leave the shelf as is. I love, love the fleur de lies candle holders. I'd definitely be interested in them if you want to part with them! They would fit perfectly with my family tapestry.

I have an old sewing base as well that my cousin found for me for $5 on the 100 mile yard sale in Alabama. I found an antique wine crate and stuck on it for my overflow swung vases. I need you to come here and decorate with me lol. I have all the antiques, but lack the vision to pull it all together like I want lol. I love that basket. One thing that I desperately want is a covered porch. I don't have one up here and really miss them. Definitely something I'm looking at in our next house......whenever real estate prices get back to reasonable prices.....

Everything is perfection, Alex. 🤌 I never thought to put my snake plants 🪴 outside. I have nine of them that I propagated from the original one. I put my aloe plants outside every summer and they THRIVE. I’m in the northeast so I worry about harsh weather.
