Nice sweets potato harvest...more than you had to start the summer with. 😄 Hey those small potatoes are good for puree. I usually do a quick peel, boil, puree and freeze. I pull it out for sweet potato pie at Thanksgiving, making mashed sweet potatoes and even making dog treats.

FYI Adams acres in dinwiddie pulled their sweet potatoes about 6 weeks ago. Adams acres is probably 15-20 minute drive from an estimate of where you are. I hope this info gives you confidence that you pulled them in a timely manner. I absolutely love your garden please keep up the wonderful videos I am living vicariously through you. I moved over the summer and don't have a garden in my new home yet. You're helping me survive thank you. 😊 only a gardener would understand, I miss my garden. thank you for being here in vedios.

Hi Asia, you may want to go back through the raised bed where you put the sweet potatoes, they go really deep. generally the bigger ones are towards the bottom. I don't grow that way, but my friend does and that generally what I've seen. You did get a decent harvest. I grow in bags because I don't dig, the worms I can't deal with....LOL...I know...gardening and worms go hand in hand, but I can't deal with them, they creep me OUT!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!!

Girl, it's about time! I was like "we know she not gonna wait til no frost!"😂😂 Great harvest. Good job! In those smaller ones you can just throw them in with a chicken that you're roasting or baking a pork or beef roast of some kind and have yourself some roasted sweet potatoes! Those small ones are still a harvest and will still feed you.

Thanks for sharing. You was still like a kid in the candy store with those sweet potatoes and opening up the candles. Always enjoy your videos and how much fun you have in your garden :) I planted 3 different varieties and 12 slips total and my harvest was about the same as yours. I also fertilized regularly and watered but I think I planted them too close together. I was excited with just having some to taste. They have been on the shelf for 3 weeks so hopefully they will taste good. I saw the luffa trellis and hope you will do a video on harvesting them as well. Mine will need to be brought in soon to finish maturing because they are still green and frost is coming in a few weeks (zone 7b in North Carolina). Happy Gardening :)

That's a good harvest. It was a terrible season for kumara here last summer. Even commercial growers had a hard time growing them. I saw one kumara for sale for $14 awhile ago 😂 some people put corrugated iron about 2 feet down in their garden bed to stop the kumara growing down. Thay get bigger when they hit something solid... apparently 😂

That was a nice harvest. I started pulling my tiny ones after 4 days of curing, baked them in my toaster oven and sampled them for taste. I had murasaki, Georgia jet, and centennial. Murasaki is said to be good right out the ground. I think Georgia jet is too. Both were very tasty at 4 days. The centennials needed a few more days to develop their flavor.
