I crashed my boat!

When changing marinas in a very windy Miami, I crashed my boat into the dock and put a big hole in it! So we sailed it up to Fort Lauderdale to get some repairs done, including patching the hole and installing a new autopilot.

Love the Garmin equipment. I upgraded my 340 from Raymarine to all Garmin and I still use the Raymarine autopilot. Safe travels.

Garmin is OK but you have to know the secret passageways to get the info you need. B & G is way better.

Sunset Harbor is a real nice place. I kept a boat there years ago, before those condos by your boat where even built, and it was a great place.

It is actually funny that you have to pay for music that at least I have never heard before. They should be paying you to get their music out there. Glad you got the boat fixed and the damage was not too bad. My Wife and I may be in Burnet for the eclipse too. If so, might get to meet yall there. Stay safe out there!

That GO LIGHT on top of the bow reminded me of the x4 GO LIGHT setup the armored semi my driver and I were assigned to run all around Iraq with on convoys. Those things are freaking powerful and hard really far reaching illumination. I also liked being able to point them anywhere when needing to scan for bad stuff.

A couple of comment from someone who could be your oldest uncle. First -boat folks are the coolest. Service with a cool attitude. Second - Bobby chill with the problems. Make Amanda feel safe and secure, regardless of what cr*p is happening. And third, I never thought premium music was useful, but Buffett? Yeah!

As rough as the water was in that marina, I am surprised there were any boats moored there! Glad it was just a small ding on the exterior. Stay safe! Good to see your lady at the controls some. Nice that you provide guidance and sailing skills to your crew. :)

I've never had the link chain colored inserts to remain in place very long, zip ties work best but don't last forever. I have 360' of 5/16" galvanized marked every 60'.

Love the channel, Bobby! Just want to point out that technically the rode is all components that make up the anchor line. Rope + chain, rope only or chain only. Doesn’t matter. It’s all called the rode. Looking forward to seeing the new boat on new adventures!

Sorry for your troubles Bob. My dad had a condo on Galt Ocean Mile in Lauderdale. I love the area although it's been many years. There use to be a Mongolian restaurant on Commercial that was insanely good. Anyways could have been a lot worse my friend. Now when are you getting back to sailing? lol
