Жыл бұрынThinking about the possibility of an earthquake while crawling down there is a terrible idea, but I just couldn't help it. In addition to that, this is a dangerous environment with the gasses down below, so please NEVER do that and call for professional help!
Sushi got so scared of fireworks, so he ran for cover, dropped 15 feet, and had no chance of getting out of that place! Luckily, a woman working at a sushi restaurant heard his calls for help and knew to text #HopeForPaws
When Loreta Frankonyte and I arrived, we knew this would be tricky because he could run through this pipe system, disappear, and eventually starve to death. We deployed a ladder, I went down, sealed one side of the pipe, and then walked across the parking lot and went down again in order to complete the 100ft long crawl on my belly.
Any mistake on my end would mean death for this little baby, so I had to be careful, and remaining on my belly gave me a better ability to see what was happening and enabled me to react faster.

Watched a video of Eldad rescuing a burro/donkey (?) left on side of road with front legs tied together to die which he was on vacation. Found a rescue in Israel/Middle East that accepted burro or donkey.

He is GORGEOUS and I love the sounds he makes while eating. What a beautiful handsome black boy he is, I hope he will find a loving home. I would take him in a heartbeat!! But I live in Germany...! I’ve read all the comments…from all over the world. Amazing followers of HFP. No one mentioned how that kitty fell 15 feet or so without getting injured. Cats are amazing! Speaking of amazing….Eldad sure is amazing. The lengths he & the others go to to save one animal at a time. Truly amazing❣️kudos to the woman that was instrumental in saving Sushi’s life by knowing who to call. You locals should find her restaurant and support her by having lunch or dinner! Call or email HFP for info….at least that’s what I would do if I lived there.

I'm having a panic attack just watching this..I cannot stand closed in spaces and would never EVER be able to go down the ladder let alone crawl in that tight space..let alone being freaked out by creepy crawlies.. you Eldad are one AMAZING MAN.. respect to you for all your rescues..but I think this is the worst EVER..💞🇬🇧✝️🙏🐾🐾🐈

Our cat would literally hit the ceiling if we tried to bath him and the only time he purrs is when he's suckling on his mummy's fluffy bath robe. Strangely, given his aversion to water, he loves to sit on the windowsill in the kitchen and watch us wash the dishes. Hope Sushi finds a great home.

What a beautiful little panther, so happy his safe now. Other men who do dangerous work leave their women home, saying : don't worry honey, I'll bee home again safe - Eldad takes his woman with him to assist - which she is happy to do, because she's good at doing so. Such a friendly little cat. He never complained once while being rescued and netted. Now he's purring and obviously hungry. Even a bath didn't scare him. Whoever allowed him to fall into a sewer was obviously an irresponsible owner. He never should have been in that position to begin with.

@@MLIrons actually they said the caller that saw the cat fall in. said it got scared by some fireworks. So in it's haste to get away from them it fell down the drain. so humans at fault but it wasn't intended. besides we all know how cats react to getting scared... instant panic!

That cat knew exactly what was happening! He is definitely one of the most calm, chill cats ever to be rescued. The only reason could be is that he knew this wad the beginning of his best life!

you guys are super heroes, I'll be making my 3rd modest donation tomorrow. please donate guys, of more of us do it doesn't have to be a large amount... we've just taken on a 2 week old abandoned kitten from our local rescue, because we've lost our super little guy from pneumonia and he was only with us for 11 years.turning heartbreak into something positive.

My hat goes off to you. I had to crawl into a much bigger tunnel to get a fawn that fell in. I wasn't on my belly, just bent over, and I was practically hyperventilating. I don't know that I could crawl on my belly through that low of a tunnel without having a panic attack.

Hi Becki. When I am down there, I am so focused on the mission, that I don't get to panic. The thought of an earthquake did cross my mind, and of course, living in California, it's always a possibility and there is always a chance I will get a free burial on one of these rescues 🙃

This is pure dedication. Climbing down 100 ft to save a poor kitten from dying, is amazing. The things you do are so nice. Angels you are and may god bless you and the animals you save ❤️❤️

I had to climb down 15 feet, and then crawl 100 feet across. In earthquake country where the ground shakes daily, it is always scary.

Eldad, it must have been so scary for you and Loreta to carry out this rescue... you are super amazing. And those yucky cockroaches!🤦♀️Sushi is the image of Susie... Hello Marilyn. Loreta is absolutely amazing for following me into these crazy situations 🥰 When we were done with the rescue, first we gave Sushi a bath, then I took a shower, then soaked in a bath, and then took another shower (It was all done by 1:30 AM). The skin is our largest organ, and of course, I was concerned about what it may absorb. Luckily, after spending enough time in places like this, I developed a pretty incredible immune system. Someone should probably study my (B+) blood 👽👍

Another breathtaking rescue!! I always love your work Eldad, there's really nothing you wouldn't do! And Loreta!! Climbing into the tunnel to hand over the crate despite her claustrophobia, SO BRAVE!! I love you guys so much I would've LOVED to volunteer for these sewer rescues, the chance to work with you guys would've been the chance of a lifetime! But, being in Australia and not California... Oh well, incredible video you guys!!

This is why I hate fireworks, theses poor strays suffer so much, they don't know what's happening and they get so scared. My heart breaks for the ones that don't get rescued, God bless you all for trying so hard to rescue as many as you can. That is the most difficult rescue I've seen you do. And in addition to the difficulty, you put up with the filth, dirty water and roaches. UGH! Plus the claustrophobic belly crawl. There is a special place in heaven for you, Eldad. You deserve it! ❤️❤️
