"Chain" means like chain lightning, but with your regular attacks, I think. It definitely doesn't mean the enemy gets held in place.

Correct, in every other game like this it's just called bounce. It's letting your standard projectile bounce to other enemies.

in brotato bounce = projectile bounces off of enemy/object with no guaranteed next target. chain lightning has always chained attacks between enemies in my experience

16:04 that's not TOO bad, because you get a magnet when you kill the boss, so all that's left is what you killed post-boss

I think for this character you want more "on enemy death" effects and fewer "on attack/hit" effects, because you get a lot more kills per attack than the other character.

Chain is bouncing chance. 4 levels of Chain gives 100% bounce chance, IIRC. After that, shots bouncing an additional time and doing more damage per bounce for each additional level. Also the XP gain ability is super busted because at higher levels it has the chance to double the value of the some of the XP you get. If you can get XP gain to like +100% you can practically reroll any abilities you don’t like. IIRC tree hugger’s also not that bad because you have chance to get a random ability at LV2. Not entirely sure which attack abilities are good, but Fire/Explosion/Worms/Ghosts/Splinter/Lightning/etc seem to be really good at crowd control. Anything that causes AOE damage on hit/death when maxed out can shred enemies. The Mumsa ability is also really good because it adds some insane multipliers to your DPS IIRC. Implosion is okay because it’s splash damage but it sometimes causes some weird movement bugs IIRC. BTW, abilities can evolve depending on their level so a common ability isn’t always what it appears to be.

my experience with the exp bonus items, are they dont really make too much difference once your past a certain threshold, it takes 2-3 minutes to level up even killing thousands of blobs per minute with the item at level 10. would much rather use the modifier that removes exp and makes enemies drop items at random.

@@hinode7776 Well, if you have the duplicator set up at like LV10 and then dissolve a roulette it’ll give you enough experience for like 5 levels at once. I actually broke the experience bar in a run because of that. Froze at Level 104 and hit a negative value. Refused to give me any more levels no matter how much experience I got. Not sure if it’s a bug, though. But yeah the enemies drop items modifier can be super OP.

you should max out the little xirxles on more of the common upgrades because they all get something dded to them and become raelly good. for example the fire aoe starts off at common then as you upgrade it it becomes legendary and very op.

8:28 it's from the black and red sphere enemies dying. They damage their allies as well, and usually one-shot other explosive enemies near them. Sometimes it's not a one-shot though.

Brother, Dizzy Wizzys whole point is high damage so that the explosions also deal a lot of damage, Dizzys Ball is just as good as any other Upgrade without any synergies

dizzy ball level 1 or 2, can remove the need to even touch your keyboard untill the first major boss spawns, when your just starting with no upgrades. it is without a doubt the strongest thing in the game for just a single level or two in it.

@@TheMemeCritic I said what i said because of the character he uses in the video, dizzys ball is good with every character but especially that character because of the slow fire rate and dizzys ball can save you in a lot of situations. Yes, the character is suited for damage upgrades but that doesn’t stop you from choosing dizzys ball for one of those upgrades. Brother, Dizzy wizzy, such as any character, doesn’t have to be played any specific way. There are preferred ways to play different characters and i’m sorry, but you’ll just have to accept that your way isn’t the only way. I only said dizzys ball was the best Early upgrade for the character he uses in the video. this is because it can take out swarms and protect you from near death due to the slow fire rate of the character.

@@dustinmwadstoes3789 in a similar method to your statement, i genuinely enjoyed playing dizzy wizzy with high fire rate. as the explosion procs aslong as you kill the enemy with his base attack, so you can certainly build high fire rate + the usual crit shenanigans. as his base damage only scales all that much if your getting % increases. which arent all that great compared to just firing a bunch of % on hit effects.

"Hail storm... eh... its something" Max it out dex, it gets crazy. I thought the same thing till a miniboss dropped 4x hail storm... especially with high attack speed (because it triggers off your main attack). "thick hide is bad" again, level it up. It gets up to 1.5 hp/3 sec WITHOUT the spirit healer from the permanent upgrades, and it massively reduces the damage you take. When its "maxxed" it starts adding thorns damage (enemies that touch you take X damage) The version of the game I played (1.02 I think it is), AoE damage upgrades all initial shot damage, even if it doesn't have an AoE effect. Not sure if that still works though.

Dex bro. you just called super sonic bad. Have you ever tried a full super sonic AOE build? it will attack faster and faster each update increased aoe range and damage. it will keep enemies at a long distance eventually its fun as can be to just stand there with those stun orbidals aswell to stun closeby enemies.

Is it just me or does anyone find it weird when the 2nd video of this series, Dex went from no knowledge of the game to having a ton of knowledge? I'm pretty new to his channel but it seems like his KZfaq videos aren't focused on learning the game but maxing out builds.

Uhm, there was only 1 game inbetween the first and the second video, which is the one I needed to unlock Dizzy Wizzy on the live version (having him on the Demo didn't transfer over), which is also the reason I only was able to buy 2 upgrades (2x experience) from the upgrade shop. But don't have the wrong expectation, whether I make more or less a playthrough, jump from character to character or upload almost everything depends on how I estimate the game to be. For example, the next character requires to hit a score of 850k. The highest I had in some fun runs was 300k. So you can imagine I will have a lot of runs before one succeeds.
