I'd suggest you put the Vanilla Minecraft "Kebab" Painting in the Sandwich Shop, its a 1x1 and fits thematically.

Instead of having each restaurant making bread (which is a common element to many dishes in the pack), why not make a bakery and have the bread delivered to each establishment from it? That would save a lot of space in your builds. If you were feeling REALLY froggy, you could also have a greengrocer/farmstand for the produce and a butcher/fishmonger for the raw proteins and deliver them to the restaurants as well!

Since you are in the '50s time period you definitely need a diner. The roadside diner was a big part Americana during this time along with the drive-in diner.

I think you should build a grocery store where all your finalised products are intially stored and then you can use trucks or some mode of transport to deliver them to the different stores that need the ingredients. It's a lot more work but I feel like it will add a very interesting form of immersion to the area :)

Well for one you need to add a fire escape for the upper floors and roof access for the air duct maintenance. Possibly a fourth floor on the building or having an underground apartment as seen in some buildings.

In the states, buildings have access from the outside to upper floors via a separate staircase that’s attached to the building but not inside the restaurant, usually behind a separate door which leads to stairs

With all the cookable foodstuffs (possibly excluding eggs, you might need a skillet or pot for those), you can just use a smoker/blow smoker to cook them normally. Having a single belt-fed smoking setup would save on space

If you use "stacked" or "split" framed blocks they are so you can have different textures on each side of the same block without using twice as many frames blocks.

Small tip for tables in the future. Use a mechanical piston to extend it by one and then remove the piston and put the floor back in. That way, you don't see the grey bits like with original pistons.

Since you're sticking with the 40s/50s theme, I would recommend looking at pictures of New York! Especially for restaurants, you could find Italian, Mediterranean, Chinese, street vendors, and hot dog stands!

If you want a suggestion for a restaurant design, how about trying to make a “functional” restaurant? One way I can think of doing it would be to design it similar to a conveyor belt sushi place, having a belt moving dishes and a couple mechanical arms above them. Place item frames down on “tables” so there’s a place to serve food, and when the arms detect that a diner (AKA: You) take and eat a plate of food at a table, it automatically takes a matching meal off of the belt and serves another serving to the now empty dining spot. Make the belt go slowly, and it would look like a visual centerpiece watching the food go by out of the kitchen and across the dining area before going into a funnel into a storage system where it secretly goes back to the kitchen to begin again (and prevent the kitchen from endlessly making food)

Suggestion: Call your viewers to send you design and ideas for 50's restaurant furniture's, like jukeboxes, fridges seats and other stuff to help you decorate the interiors of the next buildings

For the corner building you could make a pizzeria with kitchen in the middle of the building. Then a sit-down restaurant one corner and a takeaway counter in the other making the whole end of the street wrap around the corner rather than just being a pain wall

In Farmers Delight, cooking pot works whit any blocks who emite heat: campfire, magma blocks, lava/fire (just put the cooking pot or pan on top)

Since you're going for a 40s/50s theme, maybe you could try making a diesel locomotive for your next train, it would be a nice change from all the steam. Maybe it could fit on a more important route.

Its not a resturant but if your going to have lots of these townhouse buildings with stores on the bottom and apartments on the top, you should definitely add a pharmacy to the town, could maybe automate potions in there?

if you look at cities with building like you have.. best to put stairwells on the side of the buildings so you keep your insides stores clear.. and when you make a new building on the sides.. you have the stairs there already

You should try and find some pixel art of sandwiches for the paintings! Or even use the icons of the sandwiches being made and make them kinda pop art to fit with the cyan theme!

You can give blaze burner a cook book and the arm will give the right ingredients, much more compact

I think the drinks cabinet looks more like a pick a book shelf, the store might let you read a book while you wait on food to show up.

I suggest you make customs signs for the shops (if you have time of course) and ask for names for the shops. Also, a name suggestion for the shop is the Cyan Sandwich Bar.

the only thing i could suggest is maybe swap the signs in the shop floor itself for hanging signs coming down from the warped beam you put them on, hanging signs were a bit more common i think

You should replace the barrels with draws then you can see what's in them like a menu board also build a Bakery, A Butchers, and a Grocers, so each of the restaurants get the prepped ingredients so they only need to put them together, then you can use the top floors for apartments (with separate entrances? maybe a corridor connecting all the top floors with one central entrance maybe for the deliveries have a 'delivery hatch' which the truck expands an arm to unload?

Mr beardstone! In my world, ive made little food trucks around the world that make the same/Different tood. Mainly burgers... lol. But i deliver all the ingrediants they need, and then they cook it there! That way, im never far from a food source :)

I think you should try making a mod pack and it has new foods and you can put them in the shops (the Sainsbury’s that you should make) and The restaurant

You could use some framed 2 by 2 drawers to make functional fridges. Also, if you rotate the pans so it toss the item to the front you can place a chute or a funnel on top of the controller slave, this also improve fps since hopper do a lot of check for items and that causes lag

I put all my manufacturing under ground so it doesn't use valuable space in my buildings. Unless the manufacturing is part of the building. And given the color scheme of the shop, it could be called "The Teal Hoagie".

For food display you could add re:deco it adds some nifty vanilla+ furniture pieces and farmer market style crates that can be leaned at an angle

In my hometown, there is a pizzeria. The main entrance was where the register was (behind it the kitchen) and to the right was the dining area; the floor sloped down a little. In the center was a tall terrarium glassed off due to the large bear trophy the owner had. It reach through the 2nd floor were the dining area continued around it. The town is a small town, so I thought you could be inspired for another restaurant with a view. May not be a pizzeria but I'm sure you could come up with something😊

You could have a “bussing station” at the restaurant where you can return the wooden bowls for the salads or whatever so they get recycled into the system and it could be a drawer set/system that links to where the crafter needs the bowls but it’s in the front cashier area

You should train and build an American diner with a jukebox. It fits the style of the area.

You can make it tidier on the cogs on the mixer. Just place them the other direction. It’ll have room to see what supplies ya got then!

Sweets factory with a candy boat ride to different floors of the factory would be interesting to see

i would have thought the draws would have been a good option for the food storage once made, like a food menu on the wall behind the counter

pretty sure you can reduce the amount of arms (and therefore frame impact) since most of your stuff is filtered. You can attach one arm to multiple in/outputs and because of the filtering it will only put stuff where it bellongs. Decoration wise i have something for the outside. Maybe some metal stairs that allow for exit and entrance from behind with a two block alley in between two buildings (2 blocks so you could fit a decorative dumpster in there)

Make a post office and post van to deliver ingredients to the shops. I love the delivery vehicles around the world!!!!

A clipboard on the wall next to the fridge could look like a restaurant license.

Interestingly Central Kitchen lets mechanical arms insert and extract items directly from baskets as if they were basins. Not sure if that'll simplify anything in the shop though.
