I used Chat-GPT to summon David Bowie (AiDB) and used voice cloning software to replicate the David Bowie voice
We wrote a song together about David Bowie existing in the Ai. The music is mine but inspired by what I love about Bowie.

I had to comment that this is hands down the best AI song I've listened to. Conceptually it works. David Bowie feels alive in this format. The lyrics were extremely fitting and everyone did as fantastic job.

Amazing work. As another massive Bowie fan, I approve this. Your intentions are good and your whole explanation sounds relatable. I'm sure Bowie would approve too. Let's just hope that this is not the starting point of a whole lot of AI rubbish. Thanks for this song!

Please make a longer version of the Bowie AI. track. It's a fantastic song. I am convinced Bowie is communicating from beyond the grave (Note: I am a trained Medium and worked in the Spiriualist Church for many years, Please visit a Clairvoyant)

"I am the Ai" is bonkers. Absolutely bonkers. As Bowie goes, it's a vanilla performance, but it's basically the Goblin King himself. I've just gotten into analytics (for AI/ML), I've meddled with DAWs, MIDI, SynthV and Vocaloid... subbed, thumbed and bookmarked this video... I want to follow your basic process, there's a whole bunch of Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Type O Negative songs I want to borrow his voice for, if I ever find the time to do it. Thanks MTG

Context is everything. I came at this the wrong way round hearing the track first. Frankly found the whole thing incredible - incredibly real, incredibly believable, incredibly frightening and scary all at once. Almost a "this needs to stop" or rather pause as the industry catches up with all the issues AI creates. But that was being incredibly hypocrital by me if Im honest because I was in the thick of the mashup explosion start of 2000s and went ahead creating stuff because it was exciting, new and just turned me on - partly the challenge of realisation of stuff that shouldnt work or exist. Hearing how and more importantly why you created the track (which is frankly jaw dropping) and your personal connection totally flipped my perception, which was, as I say already hypocritcal (having had the odd cease and desist in the past lol). And actually your argument is sound - he was an ultimate forward thinker - of course hed be stuck in there with AI if he were still here! He'd be creating a whole new set of characters - can you imagine an AI version of Outside? Anyway, kudos to you jot only for what you've achieved but why. Only wish I fould hear the whole track - perhaps it fould be the first posthumous major artist AI release - surely the labels would be scrabbling (or theyre in implication paralysis!). Brilliant and inspired work sir!

I think as I said current status is implications paralysis on their side - look how long it took them to get their heads round streaming. It's the monetisation aspect - everyone wants their slice of the pie but how does it work? Eversince I first heard AI vocals my thought was licensing model - I mean you have signature amps, guitars, pedals, plug ins and tone packs and you can have top players on your tracks via sample packs and cleared use of pre existing track samples. I think its easier if the artist is no longer with us but for living artists it feels more complicated - their voice is their livelihood afterall. Surely though a major coup de grace to be the first releaser - there can only ever be one "first". As I understand it the closer the guide is to desired result the better the final result - if so Stevie Rik's would be the ultimate guide vocal for a DB AI. A lot of parody stuff on his channel but if you can get past that to his serious covers you'll see what I mean. Good luck!

The music industry wants to use it, wants to profit off Bowie's music, and not want anyone else to. They want to control the future of Bowie releases, they aren't outraged by the usage of AI at all like they claim.

I celebrate and hear the warmth of your personal connection to David Bowie and your dedication to this project, but I can’t help but disagree with this Ai infused pathway being in any way benefiting the future of not just Music, but that of our true nature. Rabbit hole indeed. I genuinely fear for our collective wellbeing. I hope I’m wrong. Let the beautiful true vibrations of the dead resonate. Just because it can be done doesn’t mean it should be done.
