i-D meets London’s rollerskating community as they celebrate the opening of their new home at Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace in White City, London. Like its iconic 70s LA predecessor and its NY sister location, the venue will provide a safe space for the already flourishing subculture of jammers, rhythm skaters, street skaters and novices alike.

hi all i was a street skater when i was 18 ,i even used them for transport they were the best times of my life i still still yearn now all the time but im 57 and out of shape, i loved skating through tottenham on the pavements and roads over taking the cars and hanging on the back of them ,any way b less you all and stay safe and have fun, kind regards mike.

We used to have a place like that in my home town back in the early 80's. It was called The Palladium and they had a really booming sound system. Eventually, it got converted into a bingo hall and now it's been completely closed since the start of the pandemic. 😢
