The best tune I've ever had lasted about two years when I met my best friend. We would stay up until sunlight on warm summer nights by a fire on an empty house lit carving would, looking at the stars, talking, and riding in the back of a pickup truck. I remember walking around in the moonlight with her, so scared and so calm. We went on vacation together in California and had the time of our lives. We stayed in a mansion, visited the Grand Canyon, and did simple things that felt amazing with her. At the end of the summer that just passed, her mom died. And considering I don't have a mom, her mom was more of a mom then I could ever ask for. We weren't taking when it happened and when I snuck out to see her, she didn't really want to talk to me. She moved to Oregon then Mexico with her grandma, even though I live in Illinois. This reminds me of the summer nights when I didn't realize that that was the happiest I will be for a while. It's a year later and I still miss those nights, talking about constellations, and other things of coarse. I loved her more than myself and I think that may be the happiest I will be for a long time. I wish I could relive it all again, see her, sit by the fire, rollerscate down the block. Ugh, now I'm crying thanks.
