While I couldn't be at Genesis 8 to win the whole tournament (because you know that would've happened anyways), I did make sure to cheer on my Panda brothers Marss and ESAM! Unfortunately, they ended up facing each other in winners, but between that set AND Marss' Top 8 set against Myran, I was very surprised to see both of my teammates pull out some shocking characters on the big stage! These are my live reactions to both of these sets as they happened!

Marss with ZSS: Plays a well rounded game reading his opponent and shows hes still a top 10 player Marss with Joker: Spams back air with arsene and gets punished. Shows hes a content creator at heart

Marss’ Joker needs work, he didn’t really use gun or side b as well as he could’ve. Myran was fucking crazy, like his di makes you think this dude plays against joker all the time (maybe he does idk?). But knowing Marss, his Joker will get much better. He’s only been playing the character a month or a little more I think, and he didn’t go to many small tournaments to test the joker out

Nah bro, I hate olimar but Myran's punish game and neutral are actually insanely good. Try one metafy session with him and it will completely change the way you see the game.

Pluck to smash is a thing! The Pikmin gets plucked below battlefield platform and becomes active as soon as it touches it. If the other Pikmin are out of sync from a throw or whatever, you make the leader the freshly plucked one and for the split second it touches the platform you can input a move. :)

@@10cesc4. Yet he didn't even use down B that often. Anyone with half a brain can learn to manage Pikmin. I'm not faulting Myran, but most Olimar gameplay is literally just spamming side B and waiting to punish an aggressive option.

Like I'm not saying Myran didn't deserve the dub, im just speculating as to why he got no applause, probably because nobody really likes watching that stuff. I enjoy the more tactical game play but more so about placement and movements not so much watching somebody just hit B and down smash lol
