Johnny Depp will be remembered for helping thousands of male victims of domestic violence. I had an abusive girlfriend too and when she hit me, she shouted at me "Call the police!! You will see who they believe!!". My neighbours thought I was treating her bad and stopped talking to me. After I finally was able to get away from her, she spread rumours that I hit her. I lost about half my friends because of that. Luckily I learned my lesson and started to record future fights. Depp is a hero for me to show how male victims are not only suffering from violence, but after get destroyed by lies.

As someone who’s been through the cycle of abuse from the time they were young… 18 years worth, this is exactly how the cycle works. It’s the cycle of abuse. It’s tragic because Johnny grew up with a mother who behaved the same way, and I chose the same type of partners myself as a result of childhood abuse. The best she can hope for is “winning” against his liable suit (which would be a categorical miscarriage of justice because Johnny’s team have easily proven intent, malice, and damages) and having her counter suit dismissed. I agree with you 100%, it’s very hard for people to associate all of this with a woman as an abuser, but we do know that it happens and AH is clearly abusing JD. Their relationship was highly toxic but the fact that she makes him out to be the abuser and her the victim, then you watch the trial, listen to the witnesses, hear the audio etc, it pretty clear that AH was abusing JD physically.

Although that's partially true, that's not completely accurate. Trying to defend yourself against an aggressive statement is more often than not impossible with only saying yes or no, especially in court, where lawyers are trained to manipulate the language in a way to get the answer they need. How would you properly defend yourself only using YES or NO as your answer if I asked: "Do your parents know that you are a toxic abuser?". Obviously, this is not something that would happen in court, I just want to provide an example. Not that I'm trying to say Amber Heard is not lying, to me it's crystal clear that she is, I just think that the urge to expand your answer from a simple YES or NO isn't necessarily a showing of you lying. On the other hand, I completely agree with you that people who constantly repeat the initial question are only buying time for them to think of a proper answer. Then again, being questioned in a courtroom by highly trained and experienced lawyers can be very stressful and even if you are not lying, you can twist your tongue and your brain can freeze.

How would you know though? There are pictures of her with bruises and some pretty detailed accusations. If I abused someone and was in court, I would react a lot more shocked and mad than Johnny did when someone publicly made those accusations. She could be completely lying, but if I was to take a bet I'd guess they both did some heinous stuff. Usually fights include 2 people doing awful stuff to each other. Johnny was being told he was amazing for 30 years and may have had an ego when things didn't go his way and thought he could abuse. Do I know, no, but I definitely don't agree with the high percentage of people who ASSUME her whole story is a lie before all the evidence comes out.

If you calmly explain why you didn't and then sue your partner for defamation for saying that, it shows quite a different story. Also Heard's legal team is clearly struggling in the case while Johnny's is much more confident. Not saying that always truly shows who was in the wrong but there are reasons for those mannerisms.

When only one townsperson yells something, maybe they're just nuts. If enough townspeople yell the same thing, it's probably very likely.

Please tell me you've heard the one audio recording of her being the evil, conniving, manipulative, mentally abusive little bitch that Depp's lawyers have been saying she is throughout this entire trial? It's the only recording of her where She lits her guard down and forgets that she's being recorded (by herself). Her whole tone of voice changes as if she's the devil, and throughout the entire recording she is demonizing him and doing everything she can to completely destroy the man.
