alisa Yes they did eventually become friends, but it was still wrong of Holly to say that about Jojo. I’m not judging her too much from it because I’m aware that some scenes are heavily edited or that Holly might have been pressured to start up drama, but it still felt weird hearing those words come from Holly - one of the more accepting moms. It also upset me when she mocked Yolanda and didn’t help stand up for Camryn.

She was a victim in her own way - she took the fall and was yelled at by the moms for Abby’s choices. Because clearly Melissa can “mind control” Abby, right?

@@oceanblue9122 Okay, but in this instance, the moms had all clearly made a pact that they wouldn't give in to Abby's demands to support the girls and because of the way, Abby treated them. Melissa broke a promise and when she was confronted with that she accused the moms of wanting her dead instead of admitting that she was in the wrong.

AnniBunny Your original point was “on this show.” But anyway, in this case, yes - Melissa should’ve let the moms know. But simultaneously, there are many cases in which Melissa is in no way, shape, or form the person to be blamed, yet she’s still the one to take the fall.

@@oceanblue9122 TBF, in a lot of cases she was also taking advantage of Abby's favoritism towards Maddie. Like, the moms would try and stick together for the girls and Melissa would take advantage of an opportunity given to her by Abby.

Melissa took advantage of the opportunities given to her kids by Abby, and in return, Abby was the one getting the fame and recognition for “raising stars.” Even though it was Melissa’s kids own hard work and Melissa’s money for classes that also went into making her children the stars that they are, Abby insisted on taking all the credit. In addition, as a teacher, you’re more likely to give opportunities to those who accept them. And Melissa accepted them - if the other moms didn’t, then that’s on them. I always find it funny when the moms complain to Abby about not getting opportunities, yet when they finally get opportunities, they refuse to take them because “it’s unfair to others.” Well, when you take an opportunity, that’s what you’re bound to be doing. By being on the show, you’re taking away spots for another talented young dancer and their mom from being on the show, yet they don’t consider that. When you get an opportunity, you take it because the entertainment industry is cutthroat and you don’t know what opportunity will get you recognized. And that’s what Melissa did, and Abby benefitted though bragging rights and monetary gain. Abby would promote Maddie and pressure her into Masterclasses so people would pay to see her, then she’d take all the money. As Christi said, Abby even made people pay to come to Maddie’s birthday party - that’s how much she used the Zieglers.

like when jill said holly “needs to learn to be on this team without getting angry” when holly was never angry, just assertive and willing to stand up for her child. when jill and melissa stood up for their kids no one called them “angry” “selfish” or “crazy” but when it was holly it became a problem

Well when someone humiliates and reveals personal information about you on national television and constantly argues with you and calls you all sorts of names, that mindset isn’t completely uncalled for. Maybe it’s just because I’m pessimistic but I’d feel the same way 🤷🏽‍♀️ Better to expect the worst than to blindly hope for the best. If it’s clear that someone doesn’t like me, that’s fine. It’s whatever to me but I’d expect nothing but the worst from someone like that.

Ann Marie Madoo-Chambers I honestly feel like Melissa lied because the moms got mad at her for everything. When she told them the truth from the beginning (like telling the moms that she took Maddie and Kenzie to an agent,) the moms threw a tantrum and asked why they didn’t tell them earlier - like, it’s Melissa’s kids? Why does Melissa have to tell them where she takes her kids? When she stays quiet (like when she doesn’t want to reveal he story about her ring,) the moms keep pressuring her and pushing her to reveal her personal information. When Melissa stays quiet about her divorce on national tv, the moms still pressure her to talk and pester her until she gives in or storms out. So in order to avoid confrontation, she’s forced to lie. If the moms weren’t so absorbed in her life and instead focus more on their own kids, then Melissa wouldn’t have to lie, and can instead peacefully do what’s best for her kids. The funniest thing is, when Kelly left to get a singing opportunity for a Brooke and didn’t tell the moms, then the moms were happy for her. But when Melissa does it, it’s a crime?

I mean I wouldn’t care about a “friendship” with a bunch of people who probably don’t even like me either. At best we’d be acquaintances 🤷🏽‍♀️

Most of their childhood was working and working, maddy even said all the trophies she won she threw away. Melissa picked their lives for them when they were so little.
