Перолиз Я как-то проводил такой эксперимент правда сильно не заморачиваться .но делал из такой же бочки результат поразил всех .пол мешка дров не лудшего качества давали тепло почти судки .и моя модель была сделана что называется тяп ляп. Мастеру респект .а всем кто хочет поставить не пожелаете

I laughed out loud when i saw your scrap pile... My dad was a phenomenal pipe fitter...he never REALLY retired. You Tube was an up n commin concept...one he might have enjoyed If he had taken time to sit... He would have enjoyed watching this one for sure. He was like you; He "saw things" and made them. As a fabricator with a decently equipped shop, I love the ingenuity and creativity! Getting things built with what you have is a truly awesome skill.

Made a similar unit for my garage back in the 80's. I was loosing far too much heat out the stack, so I added a second barrel on top. It had baffles inside it to keep the exhaust heat from moving thru it too fast. It made an incredible difference, I would guess at over 45% increase in efficiency . It allowed for a serious savings of fuel.

I am not a welder or metal worker, but your video heading caught my attention and peaked my curiosity as I watched you skillfully create this stove. At first I was baffled by your initial creation wondering what it was you were really making.. however, I stuck with you all the way through and was greatly impressed by the level of your hard work, ingenuity and professionalism. What an amazing skill and achievement sir. Also, now I understand what you have finally constructed, I'm inclined to agree with some of the other commenters suggestions, especially about lining the drum with fire bricks and adding a radiator or two filled with water, leading off left and right of your stove. Nevertheless it's a great project and every bit worthy of the challenge. Thank you for demonstrating your skill and mastery of your craft. I loved every minute.

Мне все понравилось-и конструкция, и сам видеородик! Смотрел с большим удовольствием, съемка просто шикарна, по-видимому было все продумано, а потому не утомляет. Есть выражение-что ни конструктор, то новый редуктор, а по сему не стоит делать замечания. Трудоемкость конечно большая, но цель этого стоит. А главное в том, что это творческая работа. Можно было бы показать скребок для удаления пепла (это, конечно, шутка). Этот ролик меня вдохновил на свои идеи, и это здорово. Желаю автору дальнейших творческих успехов и крепкого здоровья. Единственный наверное ролик который мне понравился, хотя мне как женщине это не надо, просто интересно стало, что ж он такое придумал, что оно заработало ? И очень даже понравилось всё. Смонтирован ролик просто супер, не навязчиво, ни быстро, ни медленно, всё видно и понятно. Уважаю мужчин, которые чем то подобным заняты, творят свои идеи, и не скучают в этой жизни. Некоторые ролики сразу отключаю, когда начинают после обязательной вступительной рекламы своё приветствие, потом рассказ о том что он хочет показать, и сейчас вместе с вами будем делать это. Затем рассказ о том что для этого нам понадобится, и начинает перечислять показывая каждый инструмент или продукт, не забывая рассказать о его пользе. В этот момент я начинаю закипать, когда мне навязывают прописные истины, и подчеркивая тем самым какой автор умный, а зрителям его пояснения в диковинку. Максимум 5 минут могу выдержать такой нудняк. И ещё терпеть не могу, когда говорят: наша тарелочка, наша кастрюлька, наш супчик готов, мы будем сейчас с вами пробовать наш супчик и так далее... А ваш ролик начался конкретном того, о чем говорится в названии ролика, и без словесного поноса.... 5 звёзд за ролик, хотя он мне совсем не нужен.

Amazing video, I read below and agree that the photography is as good as the actual build itself. What an incredible use of recycled materials and turning scrap into something that will provide comfort to a workshop. It never stops amazing me how much we take for granted and the genius that is in us all. This is not only an enjoyable video to watch, but it teaches us many lessons. Don't complain about something...do something about it, and if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything! Really enjoyed watching this one...great job!

You will drastically improve the heater’s performance if you run a pipe from the outside to the air intake. Right now, cold air is being pulled inside your building to make up for the combustion air and whatever air is going up the chimney. Pull the combustion air into the heater from outside so the cold air doesn’t mix with the air in the room.

Задумка отличная, работа усердная. Но это всё не надолго. Бочка чрезвычайно крайне быстро прогарит. Нужно было сразу трубу использовать, вот тогда бы вообще огнище было👍

People always chastised me for keeping odd bits of pipe and scrap metals around . I always laughed as I made a lot of needed tools and things useful for me and others. Now I’m an old guy and still keep my shop and do a lot of things when I’m able. This was a great video.

It's amazing what some people can do without having to have access to thousands of $$$$ of equipment to work with. Great job, I was a welder fabricator for almost 50 years, "CraftMaster" did a real good job of building that heater.

Brave technician. The heat will last dramaticaly longer when you place inside and around from bottom till up a layer of heavy bricks for fireplaces. This mass captures the heat and delays the cooling. Best wishes! from greece.

Хорошая конструкция, но думаю, если бы боковые стенки сразу были из труб, то эффект был бы на порядок выше, а если при этом низ труб объединить в общий короб и добавить вентилятор, то эффект был бы мгновенный

I built a very controllable heater from 3/16 plate, 4 in exhaust, screw adjustable intake. Very good at long slow burns. Only real issue is the flue runs cool and creosote builds up in the pipe. I just happened to have a 4 in flue brush so I can go up about twice each season and brush out the buildup. I was thinking about a bread baking oven using a similar pipe design to yours where the pipes would be inside the drum running from the lower fire box up to a smoke chamber and out the flue. The pipes would carry the exhaust through the baking chamber to heat the oven from almost 360 degrees around to eliminate hot spots. Like your innovative designs.

It’s great seeing people actually making useful items from metal that often went to the scrap yard. I come from a family of certified welders, structural welding test isn’t a easy test. All 3 positions are tested, flat, vertical and overhead. Then a strip or coupon is cut out and the weld is Xrayed for air holes and then put into a bender to test Tensile Strength. Being a plumber for years I tried stick welding but never got certified. Silver solder was tricky back then, getting the copper cherry red and trying to get a smooth clean solder. With all the new highly engineered welding equipment being either spool feed or using a stick, temperature is critical and these new machines are programmed to keep it correct. I have always gauged a mechanic by their tools, for years it was thought to be a male dominated trade, but during WW2, women did most of the welding and riveting, aka ROSIE THE RIVETER. I have amazing Trades people, many women who are great mechanics and Trades Persons. I need to see who makes AEG tools ? All the great trades people are using this brand. Thanks for showing how scrap is one person’s gold. I have repaired radiators made from black steel pipes which lasted for years on Steam boilers. Steam is easily understood when you know the basics, it rises and expands at 1700 % as it converts from water to steam, I always used Black steel pipes and black cast fitting, they are designed to split for replacement. On gas piping Black Malabar fittings have not casting holes. All trades have their own tricks, which often takes years to learn, usually from an elder Trades person. Few if anyone knows it all and KZfaq is a great resource to start learning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When I read "barrel of pipes" I wondered what he meant, so I had to watch. The best thing for me is to watch someone build something he/she designed. Great job young man! And that stash of metal: man, that is expensive. Stay busy and do what you love.

Мы на своем жзаводе по частным заказам и не такое делали , для дачи незаменима , быстро прогревает помещение , комфортно выглядит. А в данном случае молодец мужик умелец, сам варит , отрезает ,конструирует -- руки и голова на месте

My experience with drums of that type is that they don't handle fire and heat that well and therefore don't last. However with the bracing of the pipes outside it should last a little longer but the fire and chemical reactions due to burning cause the metal to rust and decay quickly. Also commentary is needed for someone as inexperienced as myself to fully appreciate and enjoy. However it was still very interesting.

@CraftMaster - I like the fact you've repurposed everything in this fabrication, however I'd suggest filling the exterior vertical pipes with concrete or sand, that would accumulate heat, then radiate it akin to an electric storage heater, providing welcoming heat long after the fire itself dwindles. We used to place large rocks around our campfire for the same reason. 👍🏻‍

Несомненно, автор молодец. Поражает, что аудитория в основном англоязычная. Наших мало. Эффетивность этой печи в сравнении с буржуйкой в разы выше. Себестоимость по цене металлолома или того ниже, расходники по электродам, отрезным, зачистным дискам, электроэнергия... Вопрос долговечности и простоты эксплуатации остаётся в зоне риска. Здесь каждый для себя решает сам. Я пошёл своим путём более эффективным, но это уже из другой области физики. Однако конструкцией автора не пренебрёг, не смотря на то что газа, электроэнергии и других источников у нас хватает. Как говорится на бога надейся, а сам не плошай.
