When you are a manager and you get critized for taking a teenager off in a cup semifinal that you are leading 3:0 and you as a manager want to rely on your senior players (rashford, casemiro etc.) to control the game and it is logical to take the teenager off and give him a rest, you know the pundits are talking nonsense. It is for the senior players to take the responsibility. If they then go and give a 3:0 lead away in 20min, that‘s not down to the manager who trusts his most experienced players, that‘s down to the players themselves.
