Classy, intelligent, hardworking smart woman. I do EBay and PM part time, I don’t wash the clothes, unless stained, I work FT so I don’t list daily. I pick and choose who I listen to on KZfaq. Card and freebies are unnecessary. Overall, I still make about $1000 extra most months to help with a lot of things. Very well put together content. Keep it up sis. ❤.

Love the real content girl. 👍Totally agree with declining low-ball bidders and not playing the games. I'm very selective which resellers advice I even consider. Some so-called "6 figure reselling experts" don't even share the names of their Posh closets or eBay stores.🤨

I had a thing happen that pulled me away from ebay for about 2 months. 140 listings were live. Sales stopped a couple weeks after I stopped posting new listings. At it's height I didn't sell anything for 27 days straight. WhenI started Started listing again later... poof!!.....old and new stuff started selling again like normal. I think new listings bring traffic to old listings.

Even though I dont have offers set on ebay people still message me to try to offer and lowball..... I only wash clothing if it smells (perfumes) or if there was a stain I didnt notice when I bought it I don't send invoices, I dont send thank you cards. I love to see what other resellers are doing in case it sounds like something I might want to try or something I want to buy. Oh I love Cayley's channel. She's been so helpful

I use stickers that say " Thank you for your purchase!" that I put on the seal of my polymailers and I decided that was enough and not to do the Thank you cards. I also don't wash items I have a antibacterial spray that is designed for fabrics I use when i feel they need it. But No I'm definitely not washing all my bins items - No time for that!

Awesome information I'm in reseller edge great information. I don't wash clothes I do throw in dryer with dryer sheet sometimes. I use thank you sticker no card, tried promoting on Poshmark what a joke.

My only exception with seasonal items is I start listing them 1-2 months before the new season starts. Lots of people get over the current season’s weather and they start buying and prepping for the needs for the next season. Fall/Winter items start selling for me in July, and Spring/Summer starts selling for me as soon as the holidays are over in January. It may not be a lot of sales but people are definitely out there prepping with their wallets and I want to be prepared lol!

I agree with almost everything you said! Except for taking offers, but thats just me. I have a high ASP so I feel I can afford to do that. I don't like people "playing in my face" either...so frustrating! Make me wanna curse! I too listing to Cayley! She is the only one that seems to know what she's doing without lying. Although I don't agree with everything she says either because I sell men's clothing and she is mostly women. I have been solo for 15 years and I just can't move forward without hiring someone and I don't wanna do that. As long as I stay around 100K, I'm good! @@VIAGLO I alway accept offers over $25 because of what I sell and my margins. Mens suits, sport coats, dress pants, high end jeans bring big $$ so I can afford to accept offers. I just had my highest sell in 15 years the other day. I purchased a Baume and Mercer watch at a pawn shop for $300 and flipped it for $2000! Suits and sport coats I sell for $200 that I paid $20 for, I will gladly accept offers.

Great great video full of nuggets! I feel the same way about promoting on eBay. They already have ridiculous fees. I sold an item for $10 but paid $2.49 in selling fees, that’s 25% bc I’m paying fees in shipping and tax. It’s ridiculous but I don’t hear to many people talking about it.

I felt that about eBay, it’s like they are squeezing every drop from the sellers. Ebay sellers are so knee deep in the app they don’t want to acknowledge the greed from the platform.

I promoted on Mercari yesterday for the first time and I have to say I don't think of it as free because they require us to lower our price in order to promote our item. It's only 5% but that 5% could add up over time if you end up promoting that item multiple times. so I'm probably not gonna do the promotions on Mercari in the future. I may end up having to go the route of ending the listing and relisting it.

I totally forgot about that. 5% on a platform where there are no fees might not be terrible but I’m still going to pass. Also I use to relist when I had 50 items but the amount I have now would be crazy work. How many listings do you currently have?

@@VIAGLO 88 but every time I send offers to buyers on eBay I deactivate the listings on Mercari just in case someone accepts the offer. So right now I only have 81 on Mercari active and seven deactivated because I sent seven offers on eBay out. It's the first time I've done cross listing and I only did it because it was so easy to do on Mercari. I was shocked how easy it was to go on Mercari to cross list from eBay for free so I just did it not really thinking about how much I used the send offers because I do use that a lot. I promote at 5% on eBay. A couple weeks ago I did whatever the going rate was +1.5% just to see what happens and I sold quite a few things that week but I was paying my 12.35% normal fee plus a 12.5% promoted fee and the heck with that! 😵‍💫

I have thank you stickers I buy off of eBay. I put them on the package outside, and on my wrapped item inside. I never did notes. But I think the stickers show the buyer I appreciate their business.

I do the same. I use packaging paper and slap a thank you sticker on it. Great minds 👍🏾

I can care less about a thank you card too. Many sellers on Mercari don't even acknowledge when I purchase from their shop. A simple thank you goes a long way, when it comes to leaving a review they don't deserve a 5 star on communication. So it's important to acknowledge your buyer with a thank you or just let them know when you'll ship their package at least. I can't stand waiting around wondering if they are even active on the platform or alive.

As a seller and a buyer, I feel you. I think that when you sell ALOT of items it’s hard to message everyone to keep them updated on shipment but when I was a smaller seller I did it. If the seller ignores any questions that I asked and shipped it, they get an automatic four star. As long as the item is as described I’m good. I do wrap my items up and stick a thank you sticker on it though.

I have a question about keywords. Some platforms allow more space than others for keywords. Does it help to use #s in the description or are they not needed at all?

Depop is probably the best place to place hashtags in because people can search for styles that way. So I try to use all 5 hashtags on depop. I know Mercari does the same. I don’t think eBay matters but with posh you can just put keywords in the description and it’ll still pick it up.

I use Flyp (for now switching to a new one soon) and posherva for Poshmark (also switching soon). I chose Flyp because it was free at the time and posherva because at the time it was only service for Poshmark.

Great video! I tend not to wash clothing either but I was reading a policy today that said all sellers must wash pre-owned clothing and include a clause in the listing of how it was cleaned. Not sure how widely enforced it is though.

Sanitizing does a great job of cleaning the item with less water usage. But a lot of people don’t read TOS and are violating in other ways. It should just be common sense for people to receive second hand items and clean them.
