The struggle is real. When I tried to take down mine by myself all of my side to front hair was gone from all the cutting. So I had to ask for help and the person still kept cutting my hair, at that point I was contemplating cutting all my hair off.

I've always hated tiny braid removal. Faux locs are in that category.

#Facts 🎯💯 I got them one time and that was it! Mine was heavy. I didn't realize it until the second day and my neck was hurting. I will pull it up in a bun and then my neck would hurt in a different place. Then I put it in a ponytail and then the back of my neck started hurting. Then I put it in a high side ponytail to the left and it started hurting the left side of my neck. And the same for the right side. I literally had to change the position of the hair every other day to give each side of my neck a break. When I started to take them out, I was completely annoyed! I vowed to never get them again. I also don't like how they show new growth so fast. It felt like the roots of the braids show a whole lot faster than regular braids. Within those three weeks it seemed like it looked as if I had it in for two months like regular braids. I learned my lesson when they first came out. I took them things out by the third week. I co-sign this message 100%!

I saw someone do bantu knots and then crochet the locs in. Absolute game changer!! My take down is pretty much always less than an hour. I also don’t feel as much tension (my scalp is very sensitive and i get migraines easily), and I keep them in about a month.

I definitely feel you and I still went back and got them done multiple times and hated the takeout process lol
