Hey boos! Today’s video is a candid rant/venting session for anyone who has ever been at a job or a space where they feel like they don’t exactly fit in or belong. There’s hope for you!!!!! I’m going to be sharing how I work and navigate through those experiences and why I’ve embraced not being a clicquey type. @@aimeescarlett2846 unfortunately Aimee we live in a society that has a long history of treating POC poorly, especially black people. We still suffer from the affects of racism and that's just facts. Just 1 generation ago there was "whites only" spaces and that was written into THE LAW. So yes, everything is about race. We didn't make it like this, descendants of slaves we literally did even ask to be here. We are doing our best as society CONSTANTLY steals and gives no credit. Jackie your palette is seriously one of my favorites of 2019 and in general. I use it all the time. I'm in the very fair category but cool-yellow to golden undertones, and it totally works for my complexion. But even if it didn't, you're damn right you should be making your palette with yourself in mind, because that's why people are going to buy it. And dark skinned ladies of all ethnic backgrounds are still so ignored in the beauty industry, which goes beyond just complexion products, that your palette was very needed. I'm sure you already know it, but you are doing the right things, girl. Keep it up.

Ive been wondering if more ethnic oriented makeup might work for me, and I was eyeing her palette for that reason. All the ethnically euro origin palettes don't look at all like their color on me as it does them. I'm not stereotypically colored ethnic person, and once I finish the awful ones I have somehow, I'm going to go for hers.

I used to feel like I didn't fit in anywhere either. I struggled with that for years. One day my Pastor and I were talking and she told me that those who don't fit in, are those that God has set apart for himself. Meaning you are destined for greatness. I'll never forget that. I think we as viewers also have to stop being so emotionally invested in Content Creators’ personal lives, that can’t make it any easier on you. You guys are great resources and you definitely help people who love beauty feel less alone, but, you’re not sitcom characters. I felt her when she said “ I’m too free thinking” .. I’m not that type of person to let someone think for me, tell me how to feel about something or someone. I’m just not here for that type of “friendship” or “relationship”. It also seem like people try to throw that loyalty card when you don’t agree with them and I honestly say to hell with those type of relationship because to me that’s more so a person trying to control you than be a friend to you.

All About Aries Girl, literally deal with this at work on the daily. I had to professionally get one of my coworkers together (my white coworker 😒🙄) and because I’m newer than her, my coworkers side with her even though she was CLEARLY wrong, and I’m pretty much on the out now. Coworkers don’t speak to me, don’t ask me to go to lunch anymore, made a separate group/text chat without me in it, etc. And I for the life of me cannot find it in me to care lmao I’m not kissing her ass to get back in good. I just do my work, mind my business at work, work with the team, drink my water, and go home lol PERIOD.

Jackie, you're talking about my life. Fitting in was and still is an issue for me. I'm a realist, hate fake people, and if I'm not liked, then just say it, but I found some of the people in my life, was hating me all that time, and I never understood why. I lost friends when I became more career minded, and living my life according to God, and what he has for me. When you start progressing, becoming successful, living your life, people will start disliking you, and overall it's just that green ugly monster.......jealousy. Jackie you are a beautiful successful black woman, and God is taking you on a wonderful journey. Keep on going, and going, and let folks talk and be bitter. Continue doing you, that's all.
