When you're a hot mess with brain fog and do your goodbye twice because you literally forgot what you just said. I left it in because it's my reality on this day. Sometimes it happens and it's totally okay!

When my parents told me that I was going to get measured up for my first ever wheelchair when I was 13 years old I was so excited. I was excited because I knew that getting that wheelchair meant no more pain trying to just get around my house, no more isolation because it gave me the freedom to go places with my family and no more sitting in a single classroom on my own all day, every day because I couldn't move between classes or play with my friends or even get to the toilet on my own and without extreme pain and many falls. My chair is my freedom and the doorway to living my life like everyone else can live theirs.

I love this! So many people see wheelchairs as the worst thing that can happen when it's genuinely so liberating! I love that you made a video on this topic! I ended up having to crowdfund my power chair bc of difficulty getting doctors and insurance to sign off on the power chair bc they thought I should be able to use a manual chair (despite having eds and constantly subluxing my shoulders when I use a manual chair lol) Also love watching the drawing progress!
