the thing is Quinyon Mitchell is the best in the entire draft at recovering and having a feel for a deep ball. He doesnt panic on deep routes and possibly having to jump with somebody. Hes actually got insane recovery and calmness on tape.

Plus Isaiah Rogers in the secondary too

Don't forget that in addition to the players Howie cemented his legend as the best GM in the NFL by getting the Eagles a next year 3rd, 4th and 5th round picks!!!

I love the fact that Mitchell and Dejean didn’t even let up a Touchdown last year!! I believe 562 passes between both and ZERO TOUCHDOWNS!!! In all honesty the pick I questioned was the edge rusher. But apparently this was Fangio favorite player in the draft. So this is hands down the Best Draft I’ve ever seen my Eagles 🦅 make. Can’t wait for this season to start!! 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅

This draft was fangio, what it does cooper dejean can come in and play outside linebacker at times instead of putting a safety up! He can blitz lockup TE’s and he’s a great tackler allowing everyone to swarm to the ball. Good pick

The Eagles got my 7th and 11th ranked prospects at the 22nd and 40th pick, both at their biggest position of need. Then, just to add to it, they got my 2nd favorite developmental Edge rusher in the 3rd round with Jalyx (who I was admittedly higher on than most and had ranked 61st on my big board just behind Chop Robinson at 55th, who went 21st in the draft). And then in day 3 they got two more players that I had day 2 grades on with Shipley and Johnny Wilson. On top of all that, they added an extra 3rd and 4th round pick next year through trade downs…. Howie Roseman is an absolute wizard of a GM.

Everyone keeps forgetting about Ringo. He’s 2 inches taller than Mitchell, faster than DeJean, and STILL younger than both of them. He was also a starting corner on the greatest CFB defense of all time, a 2 time national champion, and made the game winning play in one of those titles. Don’t be surprised when he starts to dominate.

Now that we have Montez Sweat to go with Josh sweat and Keith sweat, we are going to dominate on defense and the R&B charts! LOL!🤣😁😄 Just joking young man you did a great job, and I watched the video till the end. Keep up the good work.

Slay/Mitchel/Rodgers/Ringo on the on the outside with Gardner/Dejean/Blankenship/Bradberry/Brown in the backfield sounds like a great unit for coaches to come up with Unique and effective Coverage Schemes. The talent is all there right now to win a SB this year. The offense is even more loaded than the defense. we have all these great players whos talent was rated higher in the draft but slipped to us in the last few drafts because other teams had more holes to fill instead of being able to pick the best players available. This season showed us how Important coaching really is at the NFL level. The coaches that put their players in positions to utilize their best strengths on every snap Really stand out on game tape more than anything. This year really hurt to see the difference in consistency that we got with Andy Reid and the lack that we've had since. It has to be burning a hole in Lurie's ass. Siriani is enough of a player's coach. 2 have the team rally behind him. Just like big red. But the x's & o's probably will never get there from what I've seen so far. Thank God for Howie erroseman for keeping us As we've been the last few years. And all hail Nick Foles 🦅💪🏽

Our offense coordinator didn't help at all. Our offense had to overshadow the defense issues last season. With Moore now, the offense should be way better.

Cooper dejean was a top 10 guy he just dropped because he had a broken foot so is like they taking a chance with him but overall he’s one of the best cbs out there

We fell apart last year because of the garbage we called coordinators. But, real "Head coach" Howie filled a lot of holes. His "assistant coach" Sirianni will have an easier job. This year is gonna be interesting! FLY EAGLES FLY!

I really do think the change to Kellen Moore is very UNDERRATED. Every Eagles fan knows how much Brian Johnson held Jalen and the offense back. Defenses knew what was coming way to often. You need to be innovative with a quarterback like Jalen to get the most out of him. And the addition of Saquon is just insane. The eagles haven’t had such a dynamic back in awhile and pair him with Jalen’s threat to run with our receivers on the outside this should be soooooo much fun to watch I can’t wait!

I don't really think it was the loss of our players that caused our drop in defense! Jalen Carter was the 6th best DT at beating pass blocks, Reddick was 7th best for edge rushers! But somehow we went from 70 sacks down to 32? Desai couldn't call our defense like Gannon! You have the best pass rushers in the league but keep your secondary so far off the ball that getting rid of the ball quickly would be the offenses best move, especially considering that we had 70 sacks last year, that's exactly how games woulda been planned from the door. But he plays way off so it doesn't give our pass rush time to get home, he's working our pass rush and secondary against each other!

I’m a little hesitant to fully buy in on them, because I’m nervous that Fangio is going to go all out on his Quarters heavy system, but if he is flexible in his approach this could be the best defense in the league this year.

The new coordinators are the best offseason change. I can't believe we had those two jokers last year. The play calling gave me a high blood pressure.

Love the players we got but most excited for the new coordinators. This team basically played with no coaches last year and mustered 11 wins somehow. Everyone saw it every week even when they were 10-1.

Too many people hype what Howie Roseman does each offseason. IMO the smartest thing that should be said is that the Eagles drafted effectively to address weaknesses in their defense without sacrificing their future. While stars in college, Mitchell and DeJean haven’t touched an NFL field; we’ve all seen far too many top draft picks fail, it’s smarter to wait 2-3 years before evaluating a player or draft class. So, I’ll pump the breaks a few times and wait to see Fly Eagles 🦅

This is a little too rosy of a picture although it's obvious the defense was improved in this draft. However other than Trotter Jr, the linebacker core isn't quite good enough. That left lots of open spaces between the D line and safeties last year. Has that improved? We'll see !

philly probably had the best value draft, Pittsburgh had a very strong draft as well but theres seemed to be more need driven.

Unpopular opinion no one wants to hear but, I think we saw hurt’s ceiling in the 2022-23 season. Which necessarily isn’t a bad thing because we got to the Super Bowl with it, but definitely isn’t good knowing that’s his highest limit. You want your franchise qb to if not constantly improve, maintain a some what good consistency. It’s not like he’s going to get faster or arm is going to get stronger. I guess what can get better and evolve is his decision making? As long as we have a good oc to dial it up and compliment what he’s good at we should be fine. I just hope hurts proves me wrong.

Eagles gave up the 2nd most passing TDs in the league last season. We loss to the Giants and Seattle on passing TDs. With the moves in Free Agency and this draft this team will be lethal.

Secondary is much better. But IMO Howie is short a Pro Bowl RG. And another legit back-up Tackle because all it takes is one play to derail a season.

The Eagles collapsed last year because of the offence. The offence had a top 5 player at almost every spot (except RG and maybe QB) and they couldn't stay on the field and score.. the defence didn't have a top 5 player at any spot. Shanahan with offence averages 30+ points.

DeVonta Smith is a great WR period, but the #1 WR2 is Chris Godwin.

I do agree that the secondary should be better but I don't see any real improvement at LB and last year the middle of the field was always an issue and I don't see any LB that will help with pass coverage!
