Күн бұрынIt may sound funny, but I don't want to like Breakdance WordPress builder from the same team as the Oxygen Builder... sadly, the more I see the features being added, the more I do like it...
While Breakdance is still in beta, it has had a lot of new features thrown at it over the last couple of months since the initial alpha release.
For example, it now includes:
- A loop builder (custom post types, WooCommerce and standard WP posts)
- A pop-up builder
- An innovative design library with cloud-style cross-platform sharing
- Mega menu builder...
In this first look, I'll go over these in basic forms but if you want to learn more, check out the official Breakdance KZfaq channel.

I can't argue with you there. Looking at the many requests for features that never materialised in o2, you can see that they are now being implemented into BD.

I feel the same… it is better than you'd expect. Only thing is the repeated way Louis handled his entry in to the market is a little concerning, but on the other hand he feels like a very particular, but authentic character. Either way, I consider him a very talented developer and the things he put into the product are really thoughtful. On the marketing front, his skill apparently could improve. I still think he could have handled the transition to a new builder and subscription model with more delicacy.

Too be honest, I am generally feed up with the features and new builders marketing… I come from old school traditional programming and with AI and instant solutions/plugins/tutoring on the rise I am fine sticking with that and flexing my dev skilled from time to time…

I don't really understand what all the stress is about. Choice is good. We don't need to be fanboys , let's just use the right tool for the project in hand and that best for your business. Louis is no doubt a very accomplished developer. I wish him well.

I have invested too much in Elementor, for me to switch now. I have the cheap $99/year license with 1000 sites. I also have Bricks Ltd just in case. But, the good thing about Breakdance and Bricks etc, is that it will trigger a better Elementor. Competition is good. I still have faith in E. They will release a loop builder, nested elements and mega menu soon 😊 And, another thing. If I switch tech stack every year, it will cost way too much. E still does a very good job for my business.

Yes I have a lot of client website built with Elementor, and i see all the latest updates with Elementor but Maybe when elementor handle some matters of bloated code and less dependence on 3rd party plug-ins to handle small issues. But for now, breakdance is primary builder

In my tests is on par with Oxygen and way faster than Elementor. 100% GPSI mobile isn't hard, especially with WP Rocket.

Heard several positive opinions of the builder regarding the quality of the websites and the functions it has. However, I would not trust a builder who treats their clients like they did with oxygen. I am full with bricks who is very, very slow in development but I am liking designing with bricks. I have a friend who, if I buy oxygen, feels betrayed and thinks about buying BD in its "pirated" version (gpl) instead of paying the developer. It's good that I decided to pay for bricks and not oxygen if I wouldn't be the same as him haha.

Yes Oxygen is being developed and getting more features, and Breakdance is being heavily enhanced, a new version due soon.

After watching the first few seconds I had high hopes of a simple or as you keep saying "easy" way of doing things. BUT sadly it might sound easy to you or any number of experts out there but not normal humans..lol For example all I want to do to start with is follow the break dance tutorial by Louis that shows how to make the woocommerce store more modern as he puts it. Sadly I cant even find out how to establish a starting point as in his video of a simple woocommerce store front . I really had high hope for you video to enlighten me but sadly ,whilst it seems simple to you, its like rocket science to me. :( Hopefully after a period of time I can revisit your videos and understand what you are saying is simple and easy, Thanks for your time though.

First impression: Bricks is further along and has more fine-grain control than Breakdance. Plus, I can't find a way to import or export anything via Breakdance, while everything in Bricks can be imported or exported. I think Breakdance has potential, but I wouldn't abandon Bricks for it anytime in the foreseeable future.

if you want clean code and a fast website, forget about elementor. Bricks, Gutenberg, Oxygen, Divi or yes Breakdance are the right way to go by far. But for now, with the new FSE in wordpress, maybe it's time to drop all those builders for almost simple projects. I've built several websites for over 20 years, and tested elementor pro once for my own compagny website: I lost 15 SEO spots! I went back to oxygen, and I regained position 1 and 2 or 3D.

Thanks for the very good video as usual. Indeed Breakdance has a nice UI. However for me BreakDance is lost somewhere between the pagebuilder and Gutentenber as you have to lauch a special UI to use it. I don't understand why they didn't build BD features and UI directly on top of Gutenberg. Personaly, even if I have my free licence of Breakdance as a formal lifetime user of Oxygen, I don't think I will use it.

the only thing that should count for us, developers, web designers, etc... is: is the code generated by this or that builder more SEO friendly, faster? Personally, selling 10ths of sites per year, the internal stories of this or that company do not matter to me. All that matters is the cleanliness of the generated code because in the end, it's the SEO result that counts for our clients. So in the end, compare to oxygen for example, what does Breakdance bring to this plan?

I'll give it a try but one year free at this point just means bug hunting, regardless of the "politics" Isn't it another Elementor and Divi but better? I feel it may be market driven but that doesn't matter if the product is sound.

I gotta say Lewis and the team have built and impressive builder in a crazy short period of time. I still wouldn't trust Bricks with a production site and it's been out of RC for well over a year.

I like both, but there's nothing to not trust on the Bricks end. Just something people say, I've found nothing missing, apart from a decent mobile header builder - which Bricks Extras solves.

I love the efficiency of working in Breakdance, but for me the lack of conciseness with the code output makes me lean toward Bricks for my new projects. Bricks just outputs far cleaner code, but does take a little bit longer to do some things.

Hi Paul, You are right, Break Dance is dancing but I don't think we can own all the page builders in the market, but I am really sorry to say I really don't trust this company any more as we were waiting for Oxygen to be something like Break Dance, but after years of waiting, instead of improving Oxygen, they came up with a new page builder and they dump all of their Oxygen customers. Everyone will have their own opinion, but as an Oxygen full license owner, I am really frustrated about this. Actually all the features in BD should be implement into Oxygen as they have promised in Oxygen website, but instead they took the advantage of new features to get more profit. Everyone let's start using gutenberg editor instead of those page builders. 👎👎👎

You've pretty much nailed how I feel about it, you could almost describe using it as a guilty pleasure! Noticed you didn't use their header element in your header. That's pretty nifty as well. I also like the way it handles responsive typography and presets and classes work ok as well.

Oxygen is an excellent pagebuilder, but it fails because it didn't have a good business plan. Why should Breakdance succeed? Does his suspicious start look like a good business plan?

It had a business plan if Soffly wasnt stupid to split the market share. Should have stayed at Oxy, rewrite and introduce subs for new users. Now Oxygen market share is dwindling, and BD will take yeaaaaarrs to carve bit from Elementor which has tonnes of integrations. Its a stupid move.

Don’t know but I can understand a business model where you start one business to learn and earn and start a second to learn from the failures of the first and move on. I can understand that scenario, but I don’t appreciate it..🤔

Best scenario should be that when you promise to improve it, you should do it. Not creating another one! Oxygen still be fascinating, but extremely slow, why didn't he improve that aspect? Money... just more money... I won't trust him anymore, even if breakdance could become the best wordpress editor in the world.

Breakdance Builder is like a fun version of Oxygen. It has the potential to kill Elementor and any other page builder, especially because Breakdance though it is advised not to use any themes along with it, it still allows you to use themes - which isn't in the case of Oxygen which is what turned away many new WP users from using Oxygen. And yes, Elementor had and still has a free version while Oxygen and Breakdance don't. The reason why people used themes along with Elementor is that the free version doesn't build a Header and Footer. I think it's about time the Oxygen team's skills are rewarded moneywise especially because a lifetime subscription though it is a great deal for users, doesn't really help with future development of the product, which directly impacts users and results in slow or fast death of the product. Bricks is a great product with basic optimizations already implemented, but if you know proper optimization, after implementing all the available optimizations outside of the Oxygen Builder, Oxygen is still the king. Though I signed up for Breakdance and also downloaded a copy of it, I didn't test it until yesterday! You should know the reason. 😀I realized it's a new love child of Oxygen and Bricks. Anyways, I am a bit caughtup with the tendency of calling Breakdance, as Brick; and Bricks as Breakdance like most of the others. It reminds me of a famous site which had their competition using .net TLD while they used .com TLD and resulting in return-visitors instead of visiting .net visiting .com --- All-in-all, let's blame the Branding as the true and the only problem with Breakdance. The fault is in the Stars?! 🤣

BD seems very well designed and already with a large amount of features already built in and rapidly pushing out new stuff. Also Louis seems very respondsive and ready to implement what is needed. The builder seems fast. I don´t really get why Oxygen users get that upset, its called progress and as far as I know Oxygen still works. I have had Oxygen for a long time and never really got into it. Most have paid 99 to 149USD for a lifetime deal and that is cheap as in very cheap if you earn a living from using it.

Obviously, you do not understand the whole thing so do not comment on that, please. We wanted a rewrite and subscription model (and some long-requested features like form builder -_-). They said no. Instead they released a new product and stated it is not a rewritten Oxygen 2.0. It is for "Elementor users" with functionality like guess what...form builder for example (-:

@@michalgazdik9103 exactly some pricks who dont understand why we hate breakdance should keep quiet. All the fixes we wanted for Oxygen was in BD. They could have rewrite Oxygen and sell the new stuff for new users with subscription. And oxy users would support them by promoting it plus new users. Gaining larger market share altogether. Soffly is just greedy, selfish and you can see the way they launched BD it was a slap to our face. They bought BD name for 20 or 30K usd? That could be used for development of Oxygen. They use the money from Oxy to BD. Another spit to Oxygen user face is that they slashed the price for Oxygen. This is the first time I see that early adopter pay more than new adopter. Well done 😂 I choose to stay away from this type of company. Support Bricks, Cwicly, Pinegrow.

I’ve wanted to properly look into break dance for a while but their constant elementor bashing adverts on Facebook really rub me up the wrong way. Just makes me feel as a customer at some point in the future they’ll treat me the same.

still i want other, easier to use builders... bricks and breakdance is not for me at this moment... too complex and too hard to use. When i need advanced builder... i will definitely choose one of them

I understand that Oxygen Users feel betrayed and the marketing here isn't the nicest way. But consider one thing. Page Builders like oxygen which are on the market for long get not only bloated but also the code becomes more or less chaotic when there is added more anf more stuff und bugs are fixed by huge third party updates and so on. So from time to time the best practice would be to rewrite the whole program. Either you stop updating your software for 1-2 years and leave your customers alone and come back with a clean code or.. you simply open a new chapter and rebuild a new project and make everything better. Also: Oxygen Lifetime is a cheap deal. When everyone has his lifetime license and nobody puts more money in the pot, you have to do something. Else your company dies and so does the theme and then you have neither oxygen or breakdance. Think about Divi. How are they gonna make the cut? Everyone has lifetime. The thing gets bigger and bigger. New Devs choose different paths for Performance. Divi will die in their current state, sooner or later. So what will happen? They will create a new software without lifetime licenses. Lifetime licenses will die sooner or later. Its not rentabel. It helped to get bigger in short time, but you have to choose another path at some point.

You've heard of Oxygen builder, right? Well basically the owner of Oxygen created another builder which is, Breakdance, and implemented all the features the people asked for Oxygen (for a very long time). So basically, instead of having improved the builder, they created another one. Which of course made the Oxygen builder people angey and lose trust since they felt betrayed as well as doubt the future of Oxygen.

@@MoeZainal yes, probably because Oxygen started as an LTD. BD is a subscription-based builder on the get-go. The devs promised that they would still support and update Oxygen in parallel with BD. But honestly, people are losing their trust. You can see it on the comments.

@@TheDesignCreative You are not the only one having problems with Elementor. While watching the Elementor videos everything seems so easy and smooth to use. But when it comes to reality...a lot of surprises do happen. This week, with all my experience, I lost 2 Elementor websites, which crashed. Not to mention the speed problems found on Elementor.

@@nickpaz9113 The developer makes BOTH Oxygen AND Breakdance - and many things in breakdance is based on feedback to oxygen, which they originally sold as the «end all, be all» until they discovered that a full site editor solution like oxygen had a tad bit smaller potential customer base, so many features suggested by the oxygen community was then baked into breakdance, leaving paying lifetime license oxygen users hanging without those features they where thinking might be included in the product they paid for and was promises would be actively developed

Meh. Moved from elementor to bricks with pretty good results. But ultimately, Gutenberg is the future of this platform. I've permanently moved over to the block editor via generate press and blocks and I'll never go back to a page builder. These builders I think will soon be obsolete. I also believe they will suffer the same fate elementor has with shit performance. After using gutenberg for a while and converting all my sites over, it's truly a powerful editor. Breakdance is no different. It's created by devs that have made shady business decisions and is to new on the market to really trust with live client sites. Just my thoughts

I am of exactly the same opinion. The only thing about FSE for me is: is it too soon and is it enough to get to do what we can do with oxygen or bricks and so easily and quickly?

Builders may not be obselete. But Bd is just an unnessary builder that exist.

There is nothing shady about BD or its owners. BD is well built, very few bugs, updated regularly, properly tested, and fast. Each to their own but BD is a great tool and a brilliant replacement for Elementor, whiel we wait for Gutenberg to get to the point where its usable without Cwicly or others.

@@rebelinc naturally they are allowed to make new software. It’s not about rules or laws. I was mentioning my opinion. I think the new software development is taking resources away from the ‘old’ software and it further development.

Exactly and stupid ceo. Instead of increasing market share of Oxy, he split it into two. Now Oxy market size is dwindling, and BD for sure wont beat E wirh tonnes of integrations and every plugins are built to be Elementor and Gutenberg first.
