It is absolutely right to turn to God for guidance and hope in times of trouble. But my favorite part of this song is that it illustrates there doesn't have to be trouble. You don't have to be in pain or distress or desperation. You can turn to God purely out of love for Him.

It all felt pretty surreal because Ellie and Drew played at a Young Life camp 10 years ago where I was serving on Work Crew, which is where God began to reveal filmmaking as my calling in life. I heard this song on my favorite Christian radio station, and it got stuck in my head and lead me to research the sycamore tree in the Bible and it really spoke to my heart! Thank you! This song has so much meaning for me!! I have been cooperating with God in my healing through the vehicle of DNRS (Dynamic Neural Retraining System), and one of the first memories he brought back for me to focus on was when I first learned the story of Zacchaeus...that longing to catch more than a glimpse of this man called Jesus of Nazareth... and to have Jesus not only stop and see him (me!!), but to want to go spend time with him (me!!)! So much of the program is about being present in the moment and focusing my attention on what is good and pure and honorable and lovely... Thank you for this song!! 😃❤️🙏🏻✝️

Just a brilliant song and concept. The little guy climbs a Symore tree to see Jesus. Then Jesus says I must eat at your house. After hearing Jesus preach, he turns from his sins and wants to make a mend for the evil he had done. Jesus says Salvation has come to this household. The song reminds me how the gospel changes us from sinner to saint. From unjust to just. From the child of the devil to a child of God. God created man just, holy and righteous just like Himself. Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead to reconcile us to bring us to Glory! Eternal life is a free gift, no works can achieve what Jesus did for us, otherwise He died in vain.
