Okay with this top comment I will address some criticisms from spoons video I suppose... The top 3 are as follows: 1. Blazed was annoying for door camping 2. Blazed had a really shitty attitude 3. Blazed was being a bad friend and bullying Spoonkid Those 3 are the main comments I've been seeing, so I will address those, and I'll probably only really do this once. I'd just like to start off by saying that neither Spoonkid or I are upset at each other, and we are friends IRL, and hang out nearly every day. We laughed about the bit at the time, and still laugh about it to this day. That alone should be the end of it, but alas there are some people who are still upset, so here goes. ^ that is probably the most important thing to read if you don't feel like reading the library of Alexandria below this. ^ 1. Door camping was well within the "rules" of this very loosely "competitive" server this is not the Olympics or some extreme tournament, ultimately this is just to bring you guys some fun "rivalry" content since we are always on the same team during a wipe, after all what fun would it be if we just solo farmed and then raided each other. Everyone involved in this challenge thinks that PVP, door camping, etc... adds to the rivalry aspect and ultimately gives the video a "story line" since these are not scripted or rehearsed. Personally I think if you go back into it with the understanding that the entire thing was a bit, and the bit was that I was a stubborn prick and didn't leave, and that everything said was banter, it becomes pretty funny imo, everyone (spoonkid and I) would agree. We laughed about it yesterday and still do even after all the hate, and then we laughed about that too. - I think it is fair to note that the door camping bit of the video might not have been the most riveting or entertaining part, and that is totally fair to say. Both Spoon, the editors, and I thought it was funny so it went into the video. If at any point one of us 3 thought someone took it too far, was boring, or mean spirited, then it would not have made the cut and obviously we would handle it IRL. Obviously we all can't be perfect, and with the amount of content Spoonkid and I post sometimes either of us might miss the mark and an uninteresting part makes it into the video, it happens. 2. Me having a really shitty attitude, is a fair criticism, we all have our days. I think there was like 1 or 2 times (specifically where I wanted to log off) that I could understand getting annoyed with as a viewer attitude-wise. - I think what people fail to realize is 99% of any BANTER that was said in that video was just that - banter. Spoonkid and I banter and talk shit, that's what we do as friends both IRL and in game every single day. None of it is actually meant to hurt or make the other person feel bad, I feel like that should go unspoken here, I thought most of you understood that, and some seem to. That's how we are as friends, and we will definitely keep doing it, both IRL and in videos / game. Rest assured - if someone is offended, whether it is me, or Spoonkid one of us will just walk over to each others house and ̶f̶i̶r̶e̶ ̶b̶o̶m̶b̶ ̶i̶t̶ talk about it like adults, but that hasn't and probably will never happen, because we are both aware when we are bantering. 3. Kind of a reiteration of the paragraph above, but everything directed towards someone as a "dig" was banter. That's all it was. I don't bring much of my "real life" online, but Spoonkid and I have been good friends in real life for a while now, we banter all the time with each other and it goes both ways, and it is even "worse" in real life. That's what having friends is about, that's our humor. If someone gets offended or upset, we talk about it like adults and we don't do it again. That hasn't had to happen yet, but maybe at some point it will, or won't. I have a lot of love for the dude and owe him more than I can ever repay him. I don't really have much else to add here, I always thought these long ass essay apologies were cheesy and annoying but here I am writing one for myself. Ultimately I don't think 1% of the hate commenters / watchers will read this, it is the internet after all but for those that do, thanks. Usually these are reserved for the KZfaqrs that commit mass starvation or scam their fanbase, but I am writing one for killing my friend in a videogame lol. I really do read every comment on my channel, so if you actually have some valid feedback that you think I should hear, I'll most likely see it. This is probably the most well written you'll ever see of me again, back to bit doing everyone. Thanks to everyone who has been level headed about this whole situation, I appreciate the nice comments and support. I don't aim to be liked by everyone, but if you dislike me at least have a valid reason (of which there are many.) Rest assured, the videos will still come out as per usual, we have some insane wipes coming up that I really look forward to you guys seeing. We have the longest rust video coming out soon from an absolutely crazy wipe I did recently and a few other videos as well that I am overall really happy with. I watched both your vid and spoon’s, this is gold. There are way too many boring PvP Rust vids on YT - genuinely hilarious and entertaining vids like this are rare. You guys are workshopping a meta all your own, and I think you’re onto something. Keep refining. A short rule book with some sensible rules and some chaos-making ones is next. Random loot/event spawns, shorter reset times, larger map so building zones are bigger - it won’t take much to really make this the ideal mini-Rivals format.

There are a few ways it could have been streamlined like having a reasonablensource of boom and stuff but when watching the spoonkid vid it never even crossed my mind that a bit like this would keep people mad. Watching from spoons perspective I was actually dying laughing the whole time, I'm just now getting to this video and seeing the comments. I had no clue anyone didn't like that lol. It was great imo. The only thing that was "lacking" was the actual raiding part which was hard to fix at the time but can be fixed in the future. The server mods could help. Much love.

Thinking about it, i gotta imagine its hard to actually set up a 1v1v1, you got lucky the first time were you were mainly let alone for most of the time with a few others joining in, the second time had way too many others and you guys had to team up most of the time. Honestly the best solution for setting and servers for you guys is probably going to be a private server were you guys 1v1v1 but either have your viewers be part of your teams and its a clan v clan scenario with real fighting and stakes or you have your 1v1v1 and some viewers (limited to a certain amount to make sure theres action but not too much) go against you all, so theres a tiny bit of teaming but mostly against each other. I cant wait to see how you guys do this next and im sorry for flaming your rock climbing skills on the discord 🤙🤙🦐🦐🤙

My idea for a rule set. First of all it should be a timed event, ( 4 hours? ) you can either go and farm up for a big base ( any size, doesnt matter ) or you can go farm boom and guns or a mix both. The first hour should be a grace period so everyone can at least get a basic start, base, farm .. whatever. 2nd hour tier 1 weapons unlocked and fighting can start ( no door camping. ) 3rd / 4th hours all weapons useable and any methods you want, door camping, ratting whatever. At the end of the 4 hours you take in it turns to defend your base ( you have to be inside or on a foundation of the base to prevent a repeat of blazed rock camping. ) Winner is defined as whoever gets most points, points can be something simple like, defend your own base 2 points, help to raid a base succesfully 1 point. it's a sort of re hash of the events i've seen on youtube like rust rivals. but i feel like this would help prevent the stale content because everyone should have something and you cant just overnight farm your way out of it. add more hours to the overalltime but continue hour 4 onwards as necessary to farm boom as needed but it needs to be an agreed set time. Edit: If you want a cave you cant use a bunker or Hqm ( no doors or walls ). Edit 3: when helping to raid you have to use your own personal supplies each. Destroy tc to get points.

I watched the spoon vid already and at no point did I think that there was any bullying or that anyone was genuinely pissed. The doorcamp was so funny because spoon tried SO HARD to get his shit back and after all of that you did a quick trick to get out AND THEN he tried to door camp you and you casually blapped him so fast. The banter through the whole session made it very clear the kind of relationship you guys have and anyone with half a brain could see that. If people think any of this is bad they should try playing regular rust on official servers.

I was one of those complainers, I know you two are friends and I didn’t see it as some deep level of hate or something. I didn’t comment on spoons video but I was reading through the comments and thinking to myself that people were being wayyy too harsh on blazed. To an extent I could understand the more boring parts of it not being entertaining but people saying that they hated blazed and were unsubbing was pretty wild.
