Balut is eaten in many parts of the Philippines. In Metro Manila, the town of Pateros is famous for Balut. Also, it is usually sold in bus stations. Vendors usually sell it at night for people having overtime work.

Balut is being consumed in the whole country, from Luzon down to Mindanao. I myself tried to ate it when i was young. During adulthood i couldn't stand to think of that little embryo inside, so i stop eating. Not all Filipinos like Balut, around 35 to 40% doesn't like to eat it

Here in Negros Island, specifically Negros Occidental, we have a wide variety of fruits. We celebrate the Lanzones Festival, which showcases the Lanzone fruit. We also have marang, durian, rambutan, bananas, guavas, watermelon, melon, ponkan (a type of orange), mangosteen, and many more. The selection of fruits is vast, and I can't name them all. We even have a variety of apples: yellow, green, red, dark red, all super sweet and tasty. The food here is delicious and affordable. You can buy a meal with chicken for 10 pesos and rice for 5 pesos, making for a good lunch. Our landscape is rich with mountains, rivers, lakes, beaches, and stunning waterfalls. In terms of agriculture, we supply rice, sugarcane, corn, and pineapples. During harvest season, you can buy a huge sack of pineapples for only 50 pesos. You have to learn tagalog its our national language everywhere in the Philippines speaks tagalog

Hi Valentina, to choose Pomelo or any citrus fruits you need to pick a heavy one coz that will indicate it’s juicy most of the time . By the way, the way you open the Pomelo should be peeled like the mandarin orange. You can use knife but don’t cut all the way to meat part ( pink part) .

it could be that the pomelo was put directly in sun for long.. make sure to get a pomelo that is shaded or the store has shades or keep inside. Watermelon sweetness depends on its bottom . Guyabano is good when it is refrigerated. It is full of rich nutrients especially anti-cancer and anti toxins
