@@jidalhassantana My first and second interviews were pretty soft skills heavy, and less technical. My third and final was definitely more technical with four members from the compliance team. It was a little intimidating having four different people constantly firing questions at me. It kinda of reminded me of an interrogation. I think I did alright. I was asked a question relating to encryption. She spoke with an accent, and I had difficulty understanding her. Also, I need to work on the answering the question about my day to day in my previous roles. All of my interviews have been through MS Teams. It has been going on two weeks now, and I have not heard back. It’s too bad because I really liked the company, and the people that I interviewed with. I guess it was not meant to be. I alway ls go out of my way to send thank letters to each of my interviewers also. My goal is to work in a remote role that will give me the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world, with the possibility of setting my own work hours. Maybe this is asking for too much. I do not mention this during my interviews, by the way. I hope this helps. Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for sharing! It's difficult to know everything in cybersecurity. In a past interview that's non-IT related, I had a panel interview and the questions I was asked was scenario-based. Fortunately, I provided the answers that were acceptable, and I eventually got the job. However, I left the job after 6-months for IT manager position for another company. One question after the interview to ask is if there are other or future positions that you would qualify for based on your experience. Cheers!

Does Mandiant also have same interview process like Google ? What are the rounds and knowledge we can expect for security analyst role ? Does they focus on programming languages ( leet code ) ?

Cyber security interview are very diffrent and little hard than other interviews like coding and software developer

I agree, it's hard because you never know what topic they're gonna ask you about, and most cases when you're a beginner, the interview prep is gonna be the most "make it or break it" on whether or not you studied the right topics

I got my rotational program job by going to a tech conference that had a career fair hiring for new grads/internship roles, the grace hopper conference!

The interview process does consist of googliness. They ask behavior questions to judge your compatible or if your gonna be a problem.

Yeah, they're definitely looking for those "googliness" cues, my interviewer asked minimal behavioral questions though, outside of the typical "tell me abt your experience" type questions and we jumped straight in. But I do always prepare for behavioral questions just in case!

Yeah, the process at Google is interesting. It took me I think ~3 fails 😅 till I finally landed a cybersecurity role at Google.

getting married in a few months, got laid off from a tech company, been applying since novemeber.....not sure what I'm doing wrong, i had my resume reviewed and they said it was good, any other advice on how i can prepare for interviews?

Do you have your Sec+ cert? That made the biggest difference for me, I also have a video coming out this Thurs on optimizing your LinkedIn to get recruiters reaching out to you. With the tough job market these days, most people I know getting jobs are from direct recruiter outreach or referrals so LinkedIn is your best bet. I think the recommended changes in that video will really help boost your chances, wishing you the best of luck!! Also try applying to jobs on builtin and startup.jobs, they're less saturated than the indeed/popular job portals
