🌈 It was a slow reading month for me. I only read 3 books and I usually read 5-7, depending on the type of books I’m reading. I’m definitely a mood reader so when I order books from the library and they finally come in, sometimes I’m not into them anymore. So then I avoid reading for a week…. 🙃

There's no failure in reading. Reading is for fun and enjoyment. When I read one book on my TBR and enjoy it, I consider it a win. You won big in my book! You make me want to read all of these books. In June, I read and enjoyed The Lighthouse Library series by Eva Gates, Requiem for a Mouse by Miranda James, and Murder at the Rusty Anchor by Maddie Day. I have a short TBR with new release cozies I want to read each month to continue series I enjoy and the rest is mood reading. 🌈🌻😎

We're on the same wavelength. Clammed Up wasn't the cozy series for me either. I DNFed it.And I loved the County Cork series too! Enjoyed the audio books in that series. Definitely one I'll listen to again sometime. I just started a Mackinac Island cozy and it looks promising. Geared for the Grave by Duffy Brown. It's about a a bicycle shop on the island. I'm just on page 8 so we'll see how it goes. 🙂

I'm a huge mood reader, I have tried making a monthly TBR and I never read the books on it 😂. So other then if I'm doing a buddy read, I don't make TBR lists anymore.

You didn't fail cousin, you have had wins with those books. It happens that other books come along and you want/need to read them. You can read the ones you didn't read when you feel like it. Quite right to DNF the book, I now DNF books I don't enjoy or have a connection with. Really like the sound of the Sheila Connelly, will have to try and get it. Like you I am very much a mood reader. 🌈
