@@FranciscoGarcia-ns4om Learn about narcissistic parents and their golden vs. scapegoat child. The daughter is being abused and sometimes victims lash out. Being victimized as a child without having learned (in childhood) how to emotionally regulate in a healthy way leads to behavioral problems which often give further excuse for more abuse. Are only adults allowed to react to being abused? Stop victim blaming. P.S. Golden son is being abused by being taught to hate his sister and crying victim (just like mom) when she reacts to his being the favored child.

she seems to deflect a lot and it's actually very sad. you are the parent. take accountability for your actions for once. the whole renting out a room to a stranger is weird too. that literally takes away the purpose of home for the kids, how are they supposed to feel comfortable in their own house with a complete stranger walking around ? if you need help, give the kids chores, help them start applying, ask for more hours at work, whatever but don't go renting out your daughter's room to the first person who wants to give you money.

I am sure she could easily get $600 to $700 which can go a long way to covering the mortgage or getting caught up on bills that are behind. Not that, that excuses renting out her daughter's room and not her own.

This mother plays the victim, talks about all the daughters behaviours, but not a word about WHY her daughter is acting out so bad. She clearly picks the son over the daughter and favours him because he is the easier child to deal with. She also doesn’t acknowledge her mistakes. The daughter takes accountability and the mother takes none. It’s the worst feeling to own up to your part in things and the other person continually never owns theirs.

I defend this lady and everything she says!!! Being a single mother is extremely difficult. When you got children to manage and raise, who act uncooperative and defiant, it makes parenthood very hard. When you're telling your kid to do something for a month and this kid isn't listening, why is that ok??? it's only natural to feel frustrated and lash out. Why isn't there more focus on this girl whos being defiant and causing her mother who's already struggling more stress?? That's why kids nowadays are entitled brats, because lately they're defiance is okay. IT'S NOT OK!!! MORE ATTENTION OR AT LEAST EQUAL ATTENTION SHOULD BE PLACED ON THE KID NOT LISTENING.

It's probably similar because it's real. Like the woman on this video said. When she has a child who's uncooperative and defying, so it is only natural for a mother to feel anger and lash out. The daughter was told repeatedly to do something and she was being defiant, uncooperative, argumentative. The daughter needs to shut up and cooperate and not give her mother who's already struggling more s*** to deal with.

There's nothing to pick and choose. Nothing this woman's done is right. She's openly shown her favoritism towards the son here. One can only imagine what the years leading up to this was like. The verbal, emotional, and physical abuse this child suffered while she watched her brother get everything he wanted and never had a hand or mean word thrown at him. Never had his room taken because mom couldn't pay the bills. This girls actions are a clear sign of lack of care on the mothers part. She's the narcissists scapegoat. The reason everything in their life is wrong. Mom never once took any accountability. Only gave excuses and "but you don't know!!" Trust us. We know 🙄

She is denying the responsibility for why her daughter lash out and I believe her daughter when she kept mentioning that she favour her son more than she does the daughter. There is no warmth we see in mothers. She is selfish, hiding her reasons behind her 'adult' responsibilities and stress. It is no way to treat one's own child. I hope the daughter will one day be successful and live the life she deserves. By then hopefully the mun will have a taste of her own medicine of driving this kid far away from her.

She's absolutely right!!!!! When you are a single parent trying to take care of two other people who are not cooperating and working against you it is only natural to feel frustrated and lash out. It's not fair that Dr Phil was paying more attention to the effect and not enough attention to the cause. Yes she is an adult but she is an person at the end of the day with a normal feelings and reasonable expectations. All he's doing is focusing on what she is saying in this text and not bothering to acknowledge what brought her to that point. Parenthood is hard but being a single mother is even harder!!! Dr Phil is wrong for not showing her the love and support that she desperately needs.
