My goodness that sounds like church that I was raised in!! My dad used to lead this with piano and organ backing him. I lost him a little over a year ago, I can just see him up at the pulpit leading this song..I still miss him terribly..You make that old Hammond literally SING the words. Thank you so much for doing this, it brings back so many dear memories. I too feel like traveling on!

Yet another amazingly well performed favorite hymn of mine!! Sadly not many churches these days do the old revival songs and it shows.

Love your playing! I wish the Apostolic Penteostal church go back to the old time way. Thus saith the Lord , Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16 KJV

So why doesn't the church listen? Are they more concerned with getting younger attendees?
@jeptem184 жыл бұрын
johnsobe7 In my opinion it is the the younger generation that they are trying to reach and it’s good that they want to reach people but they’ve seem to have pushed all the older generation to the side. I’m 26 but I thank God for the old timers they’ve taught me so much that most young people don’t know or understand. It’s sad to see how things have changed... if ain’t broke don’t fit it. Most churches are trying to fit in with the world and get more attendance by preaching love and God will bless you which is good but let’s not forget about preaching on Holiness, sin, sanctification, fasting and praying which will help win the biggest battles in our lives and help keep us strong in the Lord.

You've hit the nail on the head. That is what's going on for sure! I find that SonLife Broadcasting (SBN-Jimmy Swaggart) still has very good music and uses the organ!!!
